For me it is the Mini-Cooper. Except their are a couple faults that piss me off.

First I would buy the non-supercharged one for fuel economy (and with the risk of an future oil crisis - it would be a smart choice) but why does it require premium gasoline? It's like 115hp with gutless torque - and it takes premium?? wtf?!

Also, there have been tests of extremely EXPENSIVE front end repairs upon 5mph impacts. Something to the tune of $1,400 of repairs. 5MPH!! wtf!?

Just gripes me.. I guess the thread is selfish just because I have to get it off my chest..

Honda S2000. Insurance itself is prohibitive (NYC is INSANE), in fact, I will pay more in insurance in 1 year than the cost of the automobile. Stupid.

Chrysler 300C... it's a beauty, but it's a whale... I don't want another big car... still, 5.7 v8 engine, stylish as all hell, even bluetooth, all for under $35K.... sigh... we will see ;)

The other car I teter on is the SuperFormance S1 Roadster... but that is kind of... well... impractical car... hehe

Miata: Nice cars and manuverable as hell but, lacks storage space.

3000GT VR4: Fast, and sexy, but, its overweight, and sucks on a road course and has lousy relaibility.

Smart car, just a little too small, but would be pretty nifty for a second car.

Alfa 147, my girl's mum has one, otherwise I'd buy one.

A Diesel Ram 2500...

I know diesel engines are teh ownage, but the turbocharger and injectors are iffy on any diesel, and if I get one w/o a warranty I'm teh fucked because the parts and labor are insane.

Diesel burns slow and costs less and is cheap to produce, its cleaner than normal fuel, and I'd get 400 miles out of a tank compared to 230 in my Ram 2500 gasser.

Oh well...

:(

Actually the Mini Cooper starts at $16k. The Cooper S (super charged) starts at around $19k. But I'm not talking about the supercharged one.

I built my Mini-Cooper of choice online and it only came to $18k.

alfa-romero red convertable, sorry don't know the year.
I would absolutely love it. only 3500 but I don't know if there's
any problems with it. It's been sitting on a car lot close to my
house, see it every weekend.
I had the good fortune of actually riding in one that a friend owns,
but unfortunately the leg room is pretty minimal even though
it is a longer car unlike most convertible sports cars.
it definitely tears my heart in two.
I am looking for convertibles though.
Been wanting one for a few years now.
I'm thinking one of these days a late 80's mustang convertible.
nice and boxy but I kind of started liking how they look lately.
even like the new design of the up and coming mustangs.
