I ended up picking up two of their albums (Travelling Without Moving and Synkronized) off of BMG, since they had a good deal where it was only $5 a CD. I mainly picked up those two because of Virtual Insanity and Canned Heat. There are so many other awesome songs on these albums though like Cosmic Girl and High Times. I was just really wondering if anybody else really liked them or were they "too mainstream" to others?

Maybe he was mainstream at some point in time, but I don't think you could really say that today.

I remember his hit single "Virtual Insanity", and it was a pretty good song, it just never moved me to pick the album.

Jamiroquai ROCKS! I've been telling friends of mine for the longest time to check out their music but I usually get the typical response of "but I never heard of em!" Sometimes people never fail to amaze with their fear of trying something new....

I'd also suggest picking up the "Space Cowboy" CD, some great tracks there especially "Half the Man." Some choice neo-funk and r+b.

Oh, and where exactly are they mainstream? lol I know that it aint here in the USA. In fact, most here probablly think they're one hit wonders "with a cool video!"

No.

JK is an arrogant fool, all of the bands songs sound the same, perhaps i can give him/them minmal credit it n that the first single "reurn of the space cowboy" was entertaing when i was 13.

I think its about time he/they went far,far away.

His music has it's place.

In the clubs/lounges that play his shit...there are always hot women...very stylish and mature too...they seem to gravitate to that kind of scene.

Outside of the club I can see myself listening to him tho...

jamouriquai's music reminds me of my university days in London in the mid 90's. Thats what his sound represents. Mid 90's London. Now he's dated as hell. That whole retro 70's funk sound is not popular anymore.

Someone asked some music related question a while back and I suggested Jamirquai. I'm too lazy to go dig it up, but yea I've like that shit for a while now. It's too funky not to like :glee:
