How much of a pain is it? Found a cheap PCB I'm interested in, but I suspect it has been sitting around long enough that the battery has died.

Take care that only a few CPS1 games have suicide batteries, and I think they are "easier" to resurrect than the CPS2 ones.

What game did you find?

CPS2 are easier (once you have the fixed roms) because you just have to put eproms back in their place and your set. With CPS1 you also have to do some hackery on the C-board and with Q-sound games also on the sound board (and with Slam Master you even have to build an additional circuit). And you have to buy new eproms for q-sound games. Detailed info can be found on www.arcadecollecting.com (dead battery society).

Kickass, they had exactly the explanation I needed. Thanks a lot!
