IMDB

*sigh* I can see it now, 20 years from now...

...coming to a theatre near you it's...Die Hard 9: Just...Won't...Die:tickled: :annoyed:

Oh well, at least John McTiernan is directing again. But damn it, why did McTiernan pass on AvP and go with DH3 instead, why?

What's strange about this is that supposedly, Die Hard 3 and 4 were filmed at the same time. When DH3 came out, DH4 was supposed to be released the next year, having already been filmed. Was the studio bullshitting us the whole time and they never filmed DH4, did they scrap it, or what?

Sounds like a bullshit lie to me. The thought of a studio just scraping a film (especially by the name of Die Hard), essentially pissing away millions in production costs.

Yeah, seems like there would have been more notice, leaked copies, etc. if they had filmed it. It was mentioned by many different media outlets though, I wonder what happened?

I don't think DH3 was filmed with anything else:

It was originally a script called "Simon Says" (not to be confused with Dennis Rodman flick "Simon Sez"), but it was bought and adapted into DH3 by making the lead John McClaine and tweaking the character.

I will see if I can dig up one of the old movie magazines that talked about how they were filming the two of them together to save time and money. It's probably buried somewhere downstairs, but if I get a shovel and start digging now...

I remember them saying DH3 and 4 were filmed together years ago but even then I thought it was bullshit.

Now in the internet age I am sure it would have been leaked online by now had it existed.

I don't really give a damn whether or not it was filmed years ago and shelved or being filmmed as we speak... the only thing I want to see is John Mc Claine kicking some terrorist butt and with a 25 minutes John Woo ABT II type ending that just goes over the top, because Die Hard: With A Vengeance sucked donkey balls and the ending made no sense what-so-ever. *Right before the confrontation with Jeremy Irons and that hottie with the scar on her neck in the Helo, we see literally an army of terrorist... but they dissapear and are never seen from again? What a gip! It also be nice to see Bruce Willis stop pussy footing around in Quasi-Fag roles, bit parts and kid friendly movies and get back to kickin' ass and takin' names.

DIE HARD 4... I am so fookin' there!

Well to be honest I'd love to do a 5 minute music video in the vein of The Beastie Boy's Sabotage showcasing the members of this forum and their personas... even the Urban Legends that got started like TONK pistol whipping that guy at a WAL-MART. It be fun to do. The video would start with Liquid Snake and BBH arguing over MERC vs. SHOCK TROOPERS and the two pull out guns and have a "John Woo" stand off...

JUMP CUT TO:

a montage of shots of NEO games. Then SMASH CUT TO:

That picture of me with the 'Burn Knuckle SUPER SPY punch into the screen, and the title of the video would come up. A woman screams, and we see a teenage girl running as fast as she can... behind her Shinji peddles as fast as he can on his bike to fuck her. CUT TO:

Slow motion scene = Rarehero, Z-Man, NeoTurfMasta' walking into an Arcade in slow motion, ZOOM IN ON RARE HERO... he gives the peace sign.

CUT TO: Mercenary X99 blowing away a target at the range with a shot gun. ZOOM IN ON MY GIORGIO ARMANI SHADES... FADE INTO...

METAL SLUG 2 ... a zombie is blown away with a "Shot Gun".

CUT TO: MAI'S BOUNCING TITS!

SMASH CUT TO: URL >>> http://www.neo-geo.com

Zoom in on computer.... on the other end we see Shawn with 19 monitors around him, JUDGE DREDD stands in the background at parade rest. Shawn is making deals, and being cool, and once and for all we learn he really does look like "Geese Howard." He gives the thumbs up.

CUT TO: Dash no Chris riding in a military jeep next to R. Lee Ermy, they stop at an arcade. R. Lee Ermy looks over to Dash No Chris as the select characters at KOF 2002. He says "HOOOO RAAH!" and Dash No Chris shakes his head and pops his knuckles...

...etc. etc.

That's all that comes to mind right now.

Wasn't "tears of the sun" supposed to be DH4 tweaked?
I remember reading that somewhere.

die hard 4 has been canceled so many times, bruce willis even said he wouldn't do another one last year.

sam jackson was also on the IMDB page as in the movie awhile back too reprising his part from 3. don't believe everything on IMDB, movie fanboys who work in hollywood put those listings up early.

NO.

"Tears of the Sun" as we know it was originally entitled Rules of Engagement and was pushed back for a year and a half, then resumed filmming. Set locations had to be changed, but the film was never a John McClain vehicle, it was always a Military-Suspence Action Drama.

...however, the FINAL title of the movie Tears of the Sun was originally slated to be filmmed in 1998 as a John Woo/Terrance Chang project that bombed. *I still have the script for this flick with Woo's face on the cover, and I know why it didn't get made. The film was basically Deliverance except in the South American Rain Forrest, where savage cannibals and a rouge army are trying to kill three men who were apart of an oil mining operation. The story was just B.S. *That's why I freaked when I hear TEARS OF THE SUN was coming out thinking it was based on the script I own. I was more than pleased with the final movie Antione Fuqua directed, and is probably the best "Bruce Willis" flick since DIE HARD II, as I didn't care much for THE JACKAL. ***Big Penis Plus for casting Monica Bellucci, as even covered in gun powder and mud she still looked good enough to go down on and fuck in the rough.

I was just about to mention that! Yeah, I remember Tears being mentioned as Die Hard 4 -- I think the same one that was supposed to have Brittney Spears as Willis' daughter.
