If so, what was it for, and did they agree? Did you have to pay extra?

Three days ago, because the instigation provided my resident Sakura Taisen freak #1, qube, I found this LE Dreamcast. I had to have it. So I bid and waited. I kept checking it 2 times a day, seeing if someone outbid me. I also found this one on my own, but as it doesn't have the original ST VMU, it's worthless to me.

I then decided 2 days ago to email the guy and see if he'd be willing to end the auction. After a bunch of emails back and forth, I offered him $25 over my then current bid of $200 for it. To my absolute amazement, he agreed (according to qube these things generally go for $250+ before shipping)! So I made payment the same day and he shipped the next.

This was the first time in my eBay history I had the balls to ask someone to end early.

After this and the sword I won, I seriously think I need some help, but you know what? FUCK IT! :D

So has anyone else asked for an auction to end early?

of course, I have done that a few times, you roll the right numbers at them and they are sure to play the game with you

First time I ever did that was with Zelda 1 and 2 gray verison carts for NES

Yes...
Recently,...for the Neo Geo Gold Machine..
I offered the seller it's original Bin price of $250.00..
He accepted "if I picked it up the next day"..

The auction had a bids on it....Another bidder and myself.
When I got there I also bought his mini MK Cabrolet machine that was listed on Ebay..
He had a bunch of machines listed & If I had more room I would bought more since now I can see the machines in person.
Test them etc..and he had great prices.

I could of bought anything he had listed on Ebay right there and then,no matter if bids were on the machines..
...........
I actually did try to buy two other machines that he had on Ebay later that week.....One with a Niomi set-up in it.

I was too late..
He sold them before I decided to buy them..

The Vendor was great..he gave me all kinds of free Arcade machine stuff.
A very nice person to deal with..

He didn't cancel the Neo Geo Gold Machine auction right away, just incase I didn't show up ..
..He canceled the Neo Geo Gold Machine & MK auctions the next day..

Though.
"asking someone to end an eBay auction early"

Is not something I like doing..

Yep, twice.

Once for Sengoku Blade because I had ordered several other items from the same seller (already won them) and I wanted to go ahead and pay. Another time for the handheld Panzer Dragoon game.

ALL THE TIME

I usually have them cancel the auction, then I buy it off ebay. Saves me alot of cash usually and lets me get the item quicker.
