I was reading Morrissey-Solo recently, and saw something about a new album, the site then showed he had a page lined up and all.

The MOZZER returns!

The website looks killer, especially with him holding the gun on the cover.. With todays dwindling horrible tunes being shot through what we still call the radio, the symbolism of revenge in some form is a good fit.

If you are a Smiths/MOZ fan, dont let this slip by.
This album is a dream come true. Good things come to those who wait. ;)

My god! A new moz album. I thought his last one, was pretty good, its been years since !! Any idea about how it will sound, it said that it has an ex blink 182 and green day producer (sounds frightening.)

"January 9, 2004 | "You are the Quarry" Album Details

From True to You
MORRISSEY NEWS
9th January 2004

You Are The Quarry is produced by Jerry Finn and engineered by Joe McGrath.

Musicians on the album are: Boz Boorer (guitar), Alain Whyte (guitar), Gary Day (bass), and Dean Butterworth (drums), with Roger Manning (piano).

The album has been recorded at Sarm in Berkshire (England), and Conway Studio in Los Angeles.

Songs recorded on the session are:

“America Is Not The World”
“Irish Blood, English Heart”
“I Have Forgiven Jesus”
“Come Back To Camden”
“I’m Not Sorry”
“The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores”
“How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?”
“The First Of The Gang To Die”
“Teenage Dad On His Estate”
“I Like You”
“The Never-Played Symphonies”
“The Slum Mums”
“You Know I Couldn’t Last”
“Home Is A Question Mark”
“The Public Image”
“It’s Hard To Walk Tall When You’re Small”
The album is set for release on the Attack label through Sanctuary Records in the second week of April.
"

I remember hearing like three of these songs recorded live, "First of the gang to die" ties into the picture of him as a 50's mobster.
The songs I've heard sounded pretty good as live performances.

Read the wit of those titles, like “It’s Hard To Walk Tall When You’re Small”. This album is gonna be bad ass.
Besides, people are tired of fucking compilations, and this is the fresh material we need.

MOZ is a very tough picky dude, dont worry, this album will be good.

Even Morrissey releases an album before Sha Na Na does.

Dammit, I want more Bowzer, Jocko, and Denny!

Yo- LWdavidK, Big Moz fan here,

Big devotee of both 'Vauxhall And I' and the early 'Suedehead' years

I once drove from LA to Vegas in 1998 to see Moz at the 'Hard Rock'- 5 hours there, 5 hours back. Yeah- we didn't stay the night. We just went to the show and came home. The fucker played for just under an hour. We went from fucking LA to Vegas just to see the show. AKA hardcore (circa 1998)

Yet I still pine away when I hear 'Every Day Is Like Sunday' or 'Hairdresser On Fire'... or 'November Spawned A Monster' or like, ANY MOZ song.

But his pandering to the Mexicans here in Cali has cheapened him beyond what I here-to-fore called recognition.

But his is still my gay icon.

I know people that know people who know where he lives :)

Morrissey had a huge hispanic fan base. Most of the original fans were actually the brits, even though the MOZZER is Irish born. (Hence, Irish Blood, English Heart)
My favorite solo album has gotta be Kill Uncle. 'I'm Driving Your Girlfriend Home" I can listen to that forever. My favorite smiths song is "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"
That song made me a fan.

I loved Vauxhall and I.. That album is such a dramatic one.. Probably the most emotional hes ever done.
I got almost every single hes ever done.
Hahah, I got a little to crazy at one point. Hell, I even got a radio station copy of Vauxhall with the gold stamp.
Its just bad ass hes releasing a new album.

A few of those songs you know will kick ass, cause of the names alone. Its good to see his sarcastic tendencies are still on the mark.

All the shit thats around today, and out of the blue MOZ finally gets signed again.
I think this album will have many Vauxhall undertones. Which is why I am dying to hear it.
If you remember his mood around Maladjusted, he was doing the album to get off the labels name. He was kinda screwed at one point, but had to follow through.
Heck, I liked his My Early Burglary Years compilation..
I think Maladjusted really lost him alot of respect, but fuck it. Even that album had some memorable songs.

Favorite morrissey song is "id love to" followed by anything off of viva hate. Great great musician, although I have to admit, I don't like nearly as much as I did in highschool.

My favorite smiths song is "william it was really nothing"

You gotta respect him though.
After coming away from The Smiths and still producing killer music.

If you are a fan. BUY THIS FUCKING ALBUM.
Dont be a pussy and download MP3's, support him so we can see more music in the future.

"There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"

Dont let this one fade away.
Morrissey and Robert Smith have to be my two favorite singers of all time.

Time has not served Morrissey's face well.

BOTOX dude, BOTOX!

;)

Oh, and ditch the high hair.

P.S. Johnny Marr was the more talented one.. one listen to the "Electronic" albums will tell you that. Keep belting out "The more you ignore me", Moz.

(Flame bait laid.. lies in wait)

The hair is bad ass.
Thats like cutting Iori's hair, you need some character about you.
He kinda did get rid of it, check the vauxhall and I cover for a more serious morrissey.

No I didn't, maybe cause I was so disappointed with Electronic.
