Is it worth $200 + shipping?

I realize it's suposed t be a great game, but come on, $200? That's fucking RIDICULOUS!

How much is the arcade ST-V version going for these days?

And does anyone know what Radiant Silvergun Saturn sells for in Japan? I mean, the "really rare" Dracula for game is only like $50 USD in JPN, yet it can go anywhere from $100-$300 in the US.

I'd say between $100.00 - $150.00

Personally, I wouldnt pay more than 160$ for it. Its a great game but its been fairily consistent around 140-160$ for about a year now.

Thankfully, I only paid 60$ back when it came out. :D

I bought and sold my Radiant for $80 a few years back. I wouldn't pay too much more than that, certainly not $200+shipping. That's outrageous. Great game, but certainly not worth that. Hell, it's not even my favourite shmup. It's up there, but not the best IMO :)

OK, $50 may be a little under priced, but you know what I mean.

If you really want a copy of it, you may want to talk to Evil Mike as he had a copy for sale (with his entire PC-E collection, no breaking it up) not all that long ago.

Here's one for ~$90
Here's one for ~$70.

Of course, you then have to figure in the middle man price, the price of shipping inside Japan and then to the US, which would end up being the same as getting it from eBay for $150.

Your best bet is to find someone who lives in Japan that can troll around to the local used game shops and get a fair price ($50-$60) on it. I've spoken to a few people who have gotten copies this way and they saved at least $50 avoiding eBay on it.

When I was in Japan I saw it sell from anywhere between $85 - $120. Next time I go there if I see it for $85 I'll be sure to pick it up.

yeah a friend in Osaka had recently told me he could get me one for $89 if i wanted it, but even then i wouldn't want to pay that much for a port. i'd rather just buy the actual ST-V cart.

radiant silvergun ain't worth more than $100. i bought it when it first hit for $40 and i think it's one of the most overrated games out there. the only real fun i see anyone mustering out of it is to achieve high scores. for a balls-to-the-wall shmup experience, look elsewhere.

RS is a great game,IMO.

I really like the Saturn port for the added extras (anime clips/convo between characters and such),but the ST-V version is still Ace in my book(no load time, cleaner graphics, etc).

It's the music that makes Radiant Silvergun so great. There are other shooters out there that have better control and better enemy patterns, but it's the music that seperates RS from the pack.

slerch, I recommend you go to that link I gave you yesterday and d/l the music for RS and then go from there. Many of the members here wouldn't spend over $200 for a quality shooter like RS (but yet they'll spend over $300 at launch for the KoF series, a series which I think is complete garbage), but I would spend over $200 for RS. For me, a quality video game begins and ends with its music.

So, I repeat, give the mp3s a listen. If you don't think the music is holy, then don't buy RS, it's that simple.

HA! I'll definitely check those RS tracks out, if they are anything like Ikaruga's, then I should be pleased.

$200 just feels really steep to me for a CD game, but that's just me. I don't have $200 to spend on RS right now, but maybe some day...

RS is a great game.

The saturn version is superior to the ST-V port. lol. yeah, yeah, I am one of the believers that think the game was made first for the Saturn then the arcade.

but I'd only pay around $100 for it. I mean, market value and all.

it's not like Ikaruga's music. It was made by the same guy that made the music for FF Tactics and Vagrant Story.
