And I passed. Ok, some of you guys might laugh, but I don't have any professional experience working with computers. Everything I know is self taught up until the last couple of months, I took this cert. exam in accordance with my college schedule.

Anyway, I had a hard time with the Core OS test. There was a lot of Win 9.x and Win NT specific info on it that wasn't covered in my course materials. They also asked a lot of DOS questions relating to the different file-types it uses.

Anyone else A+ certified? What was your experience with the exam, was it difficult for you or easy?

I WOULD be. I took courses on the stuff.
I just cant sit in one place that long answering inane questions about tiny little things Windows does and what error messages mean.

Congrats dude! It is good to enrich yourself.

I just took my GMAT.... My score was better than I expected, so I am all happy! :multi_co:

Congrats yourself! What kind of graduate program are you going into? Nesagwa, just take the tests man, they're only 80 questions each, shouldn't take you more than 45 minutes each test..

I am going to apply to a part-time MBA program, but I am contemplating applying to an executive MBA program instead... If my company would sponsor me. I figure I will get into the NYU's part-time mba program for sure, and try for Columbia's Executive program just for kicks. Yah, I am sadistic, hehe.

I've had my A+ cert for... going on 7 years now. I was ALL self taught, though I will admit to reading one, and only one, book for the certification (it was some copy of a book the company I was working at had, can't remember what it was at this point and it'd be way out of date to be of any use). I took that mother fucker when it was STILL DOS/Win 3.11 questions, my bread and butter baby!

Anyway, CONGRATS!!

Nice thing about A+ is that you have it forever and there is no need to retest, unlike going for the MCSE or what have you.

Yeah.. MCSE is going to be a bitch for me. I've taken my entry test (Implementing Windows 2000) and passed it, but without more on the job experience, I'm going to be doing a hell of a lot of studying. My school offers free tutoring, maybe I should take advantage of it.
