Looks amazing. I can safely say I won't be playing it anytime soon. Those of you with good arcades in their area will have to tell the rest of us how it is.

It'll probably be a long time before it hits PS2. Im REALLY excited about this game. The only drawback is that it means that virtua fighter 5 is even farther away :( Well, I really really hope they put a couple of new characters in it. Goh and Brad were great additions, I hope they continue like this. Im also hoping they add a lot more moves (like they did with evo) if they give my Lau more moves Ill be extremely happy!!!

I just saw some stuff on this over at VFDC. Can't wait to see how they 'tuned' up Jeff and Goh. I swear if they weaken Jeff again I'm going to the AM2 offices and NOBODY is leaving alive until I'm happy! GWA HA HA HA!! :loco:

I'M GOING TO PISS MY FUCKIN PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh i love Virtua Fighter. Hopefully in this installment they'll make Goh's movelist into something interesting for a change, i mean gosh his movelist is so drab, boring and hard to work with. Of course they'll juice jacky way the fuck up so all the scrubs can whore him out.

Speaking of jacky, Why the fuck do they have Jacky looking like a sissy version of Paul Phoenix. It was enough that Goh and Brad are total rips of Steve and Jin but sega needs to quit cuz in that picture Jacky doesn't look nearly as cool as Paul in the least bit. I know the peeps at Virtua Fighter.com aren't happy about this at all lol.

EDIT I FOUND A MOVIE!! LINK: http://web.utk.edu/~dzau/VF/VF4FT.wmv

Yup, I was right, they gave Jacky a new move(as if he needed anything else), even though its a move stolen from Forest Law its still cool, its a 2 hitting sidestep kick attack. Kage's new move is badass too, it makes babies cry!

last i heard it was just some new stuff (game modes) a few new moves and the final tuning of the system...

i doubt it will come to ps2 with only the above..?

Wow I haven't even mastered the original Virtua Fighter 4 yet. I guess that's what I get for trying to play Vanessa.

Don't feel bad - I don't think anyone has yet. As much as it pains me to do so about a 3D fighter, I must admit that VF4 is one deep mofo :D.

Anyway, those screenshots look great, I'm axious to hear what upgrades have been made to the game that may affect gameplay.

Virtua Fighter is the best 3d fighting game ever made. I'll be all over this one.

Evo is the best fighter out, and now this? HOW can they make it better? VF4 is so very deep that most people have no idea, and then this comes out? If there was any justice in the world, people would know just how badass VF really is.

Based off the video I think your right beezlebubble. Looks like no new characters, theres still the possiblity of new backgrounds (im keeping my fingers crossed.)

Looks like everbodys got new attacks and some of the animation has been redone. Good to lau in there with a few new attacks.

Spike- I completely agree. how can they make this game better, you could play it endlessly and never really need a new sequel. There has already a few revisions to Evo, so a new upgrade to balance the game out doesn't seem necesary. We'll have to wait and see.

Summer seems like a long ways away now.

Fine tuned? How on Earth could this game be even more perfect?

Judging by the video, Kage and Jacky players are going to be even more dangerous, while I'm sure Akira players (like me) get a new stagger that's ridiculously hard to pull off. Thanks alot Sega!

Anyhoo, this will probably be the first game I've bought in about a year. I worship at the altar of VF, what can I say?

Anything they add or "fix" is fine with me. And yeah, add a new move to my boy Akira. Badest character ever made. So hard to play as, but once you do... look the fuck out.

Wow...even though my extremely limited skills in the VF series ended with my half decent VF2 Akira I've always looked at the subsequent VF titles and said "damn"...
depth, beautiful graphics, and the need for true technical skills, Virtua Fighter has it all...

I'm all for it baby. Hopefully they'll put back in the moves the old guys are missing from VF2 (IE Wolf, Jeffrey, Sara). Summer 2004 is gonna be schweet!

Looks awesome. I can see a PS2 port easily, even if there are only a few more additions. Look at all the Guilty Gears that got released.

Slightly off topic but... I was practicing last night with Aoi... Jake your Lau is toast.

BWA HA HA!
