KOF 3D MAX PS2 in September

Saw this listed on the ebgames site - King of Fighters 3D MAX for PS2. The release date is 9.14.04. First time I've seen this name to describe the KOF3D title. Hopefully we'll see it at E3 in action.

but I don't think I've heard that release date

I am also anticipating E3 to see what theyve come up with

do you think itll be so so 3d IE Street Fighter EX3, or Say DOA stylized, or perhaps even VF4 Calibur?

I dunno, but if its better than the dreadful 3d streetfighter game... id be happy...

but in no way should it go COMPLETELY 3d... I'm glad capcom didnt do this either and only released the EX3 games as a subgenre so to speak...

Wild Ambition wasn't that bad. Okay, it wasn't Real Bout, but it had a decent engine and shouldn't be judged on the PS port alone. The four fighters released are very playable, and if allowed to continue, I believe the next generation of Hyper 64 games would have seen a lot of improvement. On the other hand, I was really underwhelmed by that KOF 3D preview movie they showed a couple months back.

Sadly, most people knows the port, not the original. Most people never saw Mr. Peanut in Southtown :D

IMO

In my opinion its going to be a disaster, some things just dont belong to a 3d gaming world...this is a mistake i tell you!

I think the Hyper 64 games were actually pretty decent, only problem is that they looked pretty bad even for that era.. I don't think they would fail with the gameplay, but I don't have much faith in their 3D skills.

Now I don't think we need to worry about KOF 3D being worse than Street Fighter EX3, I don't think it would even be technically possible, SF3EX3 is the cream of the crap.

It can work in full 3D. If they can make it like MKDA it could work.

Why not read the 6 posts in the thread before you ask that?

Not a good record? How good looking were the first 4 games on the MVS hardware compared to Garou, Last Blade, etc.? What would have happened if they had stopped after those first 4 MVS games? And have you even played Wild Ambition, the 2 SS64 games, and Buriki One (and I don't mean the WA port), or are you judging completely by looks? Just curious.
