This is rather annoying. A lot of my fonts are showing up really, really large and it's keeping me from changing settings in some programs. From what I can tell from the Display Properties, everything is set to the size that it should be. I can't figure out why it's like this, but only with some programs.

Here's an example of what I mean:

Any ideas?

Hold the CTRL key and roll the wheel on your mouse back and forth. That's probably how you got it that way to start. I did it once and that fixed it for me.

EDIT: You may also have the thing turned on (can't remember what it is) that's for people with sight problems.

EDIT #2: Raise your screen resolution from 640x480. There's no reason to run it less than 800x600 for any reason. What size is your monitor?

First off, your screen resolution should be set a little higher. I don't know what size monitor you're using, but even a 15" looks good at 800x600.

Next, what's your font size set at? Right click on your desktop and click properties. Then click the "Appearance" tab. It should be set to normal.

Does that help?

EDIT: Why didn't I think of that? Heh.. now I understand your problem, you couldn't change your resolution because you were "zoomed" in too much.

You mean with that zoom feature for near blind people?

The Ctrl + Mouse Wheel didn't do anything. My font is set to normal. I'm at 1024x768 resolution on a pretty big new monitor (not sure of the size, but it can do 1280x1024).

Hmm.. the only other problem I could think of would be the display adapter. What kind of video card are you using? Have you changed anything recently such as the drivers? (either manually or via windows update?)

It has an integrated video card. I'll have to upgrade that later.

I had to reboot for a program that I was installing and the problem seems to have fixed itself. Weird.

First step when you first experience a PC problem is to restart. Boy do I love Windows!
