Speechless is right...
looking at it from a collector point of view or from a gamer point of view still doesn't come close to explaining this one...
but different strokes I guess...

Sometimes I think collecting can go beyond "hobby" and become a sickness. This is one of those times. Games are meant to be played, unfortunately those games will sit sealed in someone's collection for who knows how long. Those games would be worth $3-5 each loose at a local game shop.

and not for much longer since said game shop has officially stated they'll be fazing all older platforms out...

That doesn't make any fucking sense. I'm not a NES collector, but are any of those games even as rare as Tengen Tetris or Bubble Bath Babes? Why the hell did that auction close so damn high??

The funny thing is that you can see the price stickers still on the games. I'd get a laugh out of it if the asshole that bought the games added all the prices up for those 31 games (which have some RED stickers on them, meaning bargain bin) and it only came up to like $50 or something. Bet that'd make just about anyone feel stupid.

It baffles me to see you all surprised.

When someone here pays tens of thousands for a Kizuna ....
or $3000-5000 for a Metal Slug.... you are surprised?

come on now... lol

Exactly.

Anyways, I'm willing to bet that lot would fetch a lot more cash if it was parted out and sold individually. I know more then a couple of those games would easily go for over $100 in new/sealed condition.

I see a few games that would definitely go for over 100 too - but most of them seem pretty mediocre. I certainly don't see 25 of them that are worth 100. I still say it's nuts, and somebody's got a terminal case of the nostalgia sickness.

Whew,...:oh_no: ..Something is just not right about that auction..

It could be a little kid who got caught up in a shill bidding war..
I just can't see those games, even being sealed selling for that much..
Shoot,...I have more sealed NES games in my own collection then that and there is no way in this world I could get that much for them.....not even close..

Like I said..

But paying that much for a sealed cardboard box with a game inside that one can never play if wanting to keep its value? yuck. I only have 2 sealed NES games, Tengen Tetris and Super Mario Bros. I have this with both games on it so,,, no problem. BTW, tHanks buttasuperb for the sealed SMB!

Zero feedback, I'd say fishy as hell.

Honey Bee is a Famicom to NES convertor, Honey Bee was one of the best companies to produce convertors for Genesis, NES, and SNES
