Custom PC controller ports?

Just had an idea.

What if you took controller ports out of some systems and made them into internal USB converters for your PC.

NES
SNES
Genesis / Atari / Whatever else used this one
Saturn
Nintendo 64
Dreamcast
Playstation
Gamecube
X-Box
Neo-Geo
and maybe even the Mas joystick ports

Like all on the front of your PC would be all these ports you could just put in and they would work just like a System to USB converter.

It would take a really big case and alot of work, but its possible and would be cool.

It's possible, but unless you know a lot of electronics and can construct a device that decodes each signal and converts it to USB, you are gonna need to sacrifice a USB controller and a controller for every console you want to make this. As for the ports, you could use controller extension cables for every system.
