tsukaesugi + otogi 2 = match made in heaven?

man you gotta piss your wife off, grab a cheap ’†ŒÃ xbox and grab otogi 2, 2nd hand (x's are like 7000 yen now)....

you would love this game with its intense japaneseness...

the music, the atmosphere, the story, the old japanese language, etc etc

Just did a quick Yahoo! search: you're right, that game does look pretty cool. Never even heard of the series until now.

You're also right that I should pick up teh boxx, RBJake has been bugging me for ages to get one so we can play DoA Online.

Shiznick Hunter (a friend of eight one's) took me to a store called Hollywood that only sells imports. They had a much better selection than the place we went to (forgot the name, but it wasn't Trader).

As for modding, there's another guy here in Tokyo, who's also a board member here, called Neogeoman. He does mods I think, but you'd have to talk to eight one about that, I've never dealt with him...

The Otogi series is developed (and also produced, I think) by FROM Software. I think Sega only publishes it in the US.

Heh, Gotta love FROM's games...Great games that reach great prices quickly due to lack of popularity (maybe except for Armored Core).

@tsuka - I think I mentioned this to you before, but besides the Otogi games, PD Orta, and Halo, the best reason to pick up a Box is playing PGR2 with custom soundtracks. Screaming through Yokohama in a Ferrari listening to Miburo is a fine thing.

Hell Yeah! Next to King's Field, Armored Core is one of my favorite FROM Software game series!

btw, when I said "maybe except for Armored Core", I meant that AC is one of the few, if not only, FROM series to attain a high level of popularity.
