RTS games as of late

Just curious if anybody has played any interesting RTS games lately? I haven't played any PC games lately but the last one I played was Battle Realms and a taste of Warcraft 3. Anybody tried C&C Generals? Haven't heard much on it but I'm thinking of picking it up but I may just wait. Anybody still playing these online?

I have generals and generals zero hour and although I still play them alot the game IS RUINED by cheaters. Basically people disconnect, use trainers to mismatch the game or they make the games uneven by pairing u with a noob. The only way you can survive the game is if you find friends to play with or it wont be any fun at all. the SP is fun but pretty easy and just standard stuff. At this point its a gamble to buy it. The patches in Multi made the game worse and so horribly unbalanced.

Warcraft 3 :TFT would be great...uh...if they'd rebalance the game so that Night Elves weren't 500X better than the other races.

i loved command and conquer red alert on PS and am mystified and appaled at why a new C & C has not come out on PS2 or X box.

I go to this internet cafe in Kuala Lumpur and amongst the chinese both these games C & C Generals and Warcraft 3 are huge. Im just getting to grips with Generals. I love the new team structures and the US V middle east scenario. Although i find the Indian accent the middle eastern team have hilarious.

Why on earth isnt generals on X Box. I bought Commandos 2 on X box but never had a chance to try it, does it compare to Command and conquer?

I was just playing an underrated RTS, Metal Fatigue the other day. It's old but has aged well.

The idea is that you have to look after 3 zones. Underground, Land and Air. Fairly unique, plus it's fun watching the giant robots battling onscreen.

The Command and Conquer games are not on the ps2 or the xbox because westwood, the company responsible for red alert +2, was bought out by EA and was turned into EA pacific. most of the westwood guys might have either moved around or EA has no hopes to make a c+c on a next gen system. If westwood were calling the shots they probably would have made a port on the ps2 or xbox because they wanted to cash in.

Not new games, but have you played bungie's Myth series?
IMO, they still rank among the best RTS games ever. Myth II and myth 1 were the best. 3 was developed by a different team, and didnt seem as good (ive only played 3 once)

there are also quite a few new scenarios and mods to make them last longer.
