Do you ever do speed runs in any games? Or any other challenges?

I can finish Legend of Zelda" ALttP in about 3 hours, I have been messing around with Metroid Prime speed runs and sequence breaking, and I like to do low level games in some Final Fantasy games. I attempted a No Sphere Grid game in FFX last year, but I never finished it.

So, anyone else?

I can finish outrun on the sega master system with my feet (when it's the only game you had you played the hell out of it). Doesn't gamest magazine put out a DVD with outrageous stuff?

I like to do Ghost Races on my Rush:2049 N64 cart. It's awesome, for each track, you can hold your 4 best ghosts. This feature of the game will fine tune your racing skills so you can annihilate the competition:D

Just when you think you've got a perfect run, you can race that ghost and you will find a way to shave off a fraction of a second and grab that win, making your runs that much more perfect.

Well, I've managed to get a very quick victory in WCW Mayhem's Battle Royal mode.
I do all my other speedruns in my car. :make_fac:

Well I beat Double Dragon Advance on Hard with one credit, I've been trying to do it on one life. I can get through the first 4 levels without getting hit even.

Similar to what Kid Aphex does. I'll sometimes pick a Metal Slug game and play with only 1 credit.

I really only play fighters and the Metal Slugs lately anyway.

The only game I can sit down and beat like that is probably Mega Man X2. I can beat that game in around 2-3 hours, not bad I think.

the only speed run i've done was for super metroid. i was able to get 100% items, with every area of the map covered, in 1 hour 20 minutes.

When I went to the Mid Atlantic Gaming Festival last fall, I did a semi-superplay exhibition beating Ninja Gaiden 3 without picking up a single Dragon Sword extension power up icon.

Since a majority of the people gave up on trying to beat Ninja Gaiden 3 cuz they thought it was hard, I had a huge audience of about 10-15 spectators.

Of course I died, I let Clancy's first form kill Ryu, cuz with that bit of energy after getting hit alot through act 7 I knew I wouldn't stand a chance. But it was all about completing the game without powering up the sword, not a perfect speed run without dying.

I used to come home from work years ago, and go right to playing Super Punch-Out!! on SNES. I tried to go thru the game as fast as I could, eventually I was able to go 16-0(start to finish) in 22 minutes real time. I would need another few weeks practice on the game to do that now, I haven't played it for a long time, I think I burnt myself out on it doing all that.:spock:

I haven't unlocked many ships, but its becoming all the more clear that the Albatross is by far the best ship in the entire game.

'Cross the Rubicon' is a goddamn joke.

I leave my speed runs to lightgun games and racing games. I like to take my time on other games- you can't do a speed run in Fallout.

Best time in Time Crisis 1: 4 and a half minutes
Best time in Time Crisis 2: 16 minutes
Best time in Time Crisis 3: 34 and a half minutes (damn that one is long)
