jacky chan is in this movie... i think he owns a warehouse or is friends with someone who does...

anyways all i can really remember is him fighting on top of a building and that he fights a couple of times against this guy who is french i think.

jacky wears white and the french guy blue... they meet up for a couple of battles which are the coolest ive seen. they both wear gloves when they fight (jacky white, the french guy blue..).

that is about all i can remember, anyone?

thx in adv

I've seen lots of his movies and this is the only one i can think of:

http://www.breakingitdown.com/movies/gorgeous.html

Jackie Chan digs white in this one. He fights a short dude (Australian) and they wear gloves too, the movie is kinda mushi (Jackie decided to make a romantic movie, go figure) but the fights are amazing. The last fight does take place in a basement of some sort and is one of my fave fight scenes ever.

Even if it's not the "right" one, it's the one that you need to buy! The last half hour (fighting against white dudes on the top of a building) is great, great fun. I usually don't like his movies because they feel like a lot of martial arts "tricks" - this one was different...

True that Nick. If it was Gorgeous then I don't remember any rooftop fight scenes. I remember a cool one in the room with all the boxes but that's about it.

Oh, and for a good laugh check out the Street Fighter scene in City Hunter (just release in the US I think).

Jackie rocks

I agree. The fight against that white guy who spins around for five minutes doing all those crazy kicks was awesome.

I still think his best movie was the one where he fought like 100 guys in that warehouse and he ends up doing crazy shit like jumping through a ladder. Can't remember the name for the life of me though.

Yah. It was filmed in australia. And I think it's in the supercop series, at least here.

mr nice guy? was it the one where he jumped from building to building and he acted the movie whilst having a broken leg?

and gorgeous - the one with shu qi? that's kinda substandard compared to his other movies. my favorite is drunken master 2 and police story 3.

On top of building....

"You have two choices, first give us the disc and jump off; second we get the disc and throw you off"

"I want the third one...I keep the disc and throw both of you off"....:drool_2:

And don't forget, most US releases of Jackie Chan films have be hacked/cut/mangled/reorchestrated/rewritten.

I saw the Accidental Spy on UPN (I have the Hong Kong DVD) and could not believe how it had changed.

A whole bunch of 'Who Am I' including the beginning of the film is cut from the US DVD, and many other movies have gotten the same treatment.

BTW, City Hunter is $6 at Target, there are also 2 other Chan movie that are $6 as well from 20th Century Fox, and I think all 3 are uncute, and have the original Soundtrack + the English sountrack. 3 DVDs of Jackie Chan for under $20, not bad.

I've been trying to buy a load of Jackie Chan DVDs for a while, but I can't find them at a keen price.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Yeah, remember that part where he just loses his memories and gets taken in by the tribe? In the Us version it ends in a few mins whereas in the original it is a pretty big section, they show how he got to know them and started learning their language etc. The scene where a lion made him run up a tree was a riot, boy did he climb :D.

Well, you have a few choices....

I think, by far, the best choice is to go with the HK released DVDs, 99% of the time they have English subtitles. If you want an English soundtrack, you will need to go with DVDs released in your region, but most of the time, the movies will be cut.

Seeing that you are in the UK, get yourself a mult region DVD player, and then just buy on Ebay, or find a single seller with a shop, and go crazy. Most Chan DVDs from Hong Kong are like $10.

You also can get some movie from the Hong Kong Legends line which originates on your side of the Atlantic, no clue on pricing these days....

the Hong Kong Legends dvd collection over here is by far the best quality R2 Chan DVDS avaliable. Totally uncut with shitloads of special features. I got Police Story 2 (HKL) from game new for £5.99, Police Story (HKL) and Armour of God (HKL) from Gamestation used for £2.99 and £5.99 respectively. see www.hongkonglegends.co.uk if you can't find them in your area , the website prices are a lot cheaper than the (new) high street prices. Also from Gamestation i picked up Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2 , Mr Nice Guy and Shanghai Noon for £4.99 each. Woolies carry Rumble In The Bronx for a bargain £6.99 new. Who Am I?is just £4.99 new in MVC.

8 Chan DVD's = £ 46.91 , $66 bargains ahoy!

I believe that movie was "Jackie Chan's Last Strike" where there is also a hilarious underwater fight scene.
