I just sold the most impressive part of my collection around 107 VHS tapes, now I only have about 40 DVDs.

*Edit: I went and counted and I have 53 DVDs and 15 VHS left.

Slerch is gonna own everyone...

All I need to know is that I've got the Eva boxsets on LD. Probably takes up more space than a lot of DVD collections! :tickled:

I have 1205 DVDs (with at least 950 Anime) as of yesterday, with at least 12 (all Anime, except for 2 LWC movies and Lady Snowblood) more coming in over the next couple of days.

There have been several requests for pictures, but since I still live with my parents, space is at a premium and the shelf I have full is filled quickly and the majority are stored in big plastic crates.

If you REALLY want to see them, I will take several pics either tonight or over the weekend.

I don't have a camera, but apparently neither does anyone else in this thread ;)

I have over 300 VHS anime, used to be 500 but a bunch got stolen.

I just started buying DVDs, and I just recently broke 100. I'm at about 120 or so now.

I have like 3 anime LDs too.

That's it for me, I'm no slerch, but who is? Oh yeah, Big Bruno ;)

As it has been requested, so it is served:

Here is my "Too Be Watched" Pile:
To Be Watched
Ignore the UY boxes and any other DVDs on the top and bottom of the center shelf there as those are my brothers (as my to be watched pile is in his room.) Star Blazers isn't mine either, I'm borrowing it from my sister. Sakura Wars and KOR have been viewed previously, but I'm currently re-watching those series.

Here is shelf1:

Shelf 1

Everything in the back rows are completed series, all the empty boxes in the front are in the process of being released. There is another row behind the top row, which the picture doesn't really show. If you don't believe they are all full boxes, I'll take ANOTHER picture.

Here is the other part of that book case:

Shelf 1-2

Note that the special Kurumi, BBC 2040, Vandread and Mahoromatic actually are ffull, I just like to look at the pretty pictures on the "backs" of the box. Anyone wanna play spot the Hentai? :D (only the shelf it is on is what H stuff I own, and I only buy it when it's dirt ass cheap).

On to my OTHER set of shelves:

Shelf 3

Please note my blessed baby in the lower left hand corner, the R2 Japanese LE of Ah! Megami-sama. Also of note is that this set of shelves contains MOST of my live action stuff. Sorry, no naughty stuff in there. :D Also of note is that those DVD-Rs aren't bootlegs, they are R2 DVDs I own that have been stripped of MacroVision and Region coding so I can watch them on any DVD player I want.

Here is a set of 2 boxes that roll under my bed:

Boxes 1 & 2

Note that the furthest box contains some Farscape and a couple other live action films. I believe that is all the live action stuff (in this box and the shelf above) where you can find live action stuff.

On to box 3:

Box 3

A third box that rolls under my bed. Please ignore my sexy feet. I know you all have foot fetishes.

On to boxes 4-5:

Boxes 4 & 5

The whited out box set is the 3 discs of Najica Blitz Tactics. Again, please ignore my sexy feet.

On to box 6:

Box 6

Notice this box is "in process" for being filled. This box sits in the closet, along with the boxes in "box 3" image above. Again, no spanking Mr. Monkey to my beautiful feet.

The Final Pic:

Box 7

Still some room to cram some DVDs in there, but I'm waiting for 1's and 2's instead of the 4-8 disc boxes I need to retire.

I hope this enlightens all of you to the JOY that is storing 1205 DVDs while still living with your parents and 2 brothers. It's not fun to loacte open places to stash my DVDs, but that's part of the fun, right?

I never took pictures of my 500+ video games, nor my crazy collection of CDs (at least 300 strong). If anyone has interest in those silly things, I can take those pics over the weekend.

Nothing in that mess is a bootleg, and I plan on keeping it that way.

ZOIKS! That is a ton of stuff, and your room is quite messy ;)

I may not have anywhere near as many DVDs as you, BUT I have you beat in the CD category. I have over 1200 CDs at the moment, and it's always growing :)

Yes, my room is DAMN messy. I know where what I want is, so that's all that matters.

I know I don't have 1200 CDs, but my 300 estimate is just that, an estimate. I don't buy many domestic CDs these days as most of the music that comes out today, as far as I am concerned, all sounds pretty much the same.

Good freakin god!!!!

Now that is "TEH collection".

Anime is an even bigger money pit than AES games, either you make loads of cash or are just absolutly broke because of all that.

You sir, I solute.:emb:

p.s. like the blades and ww7:mr_t:

LOL

How do I afford it? I have a DAMN good job and it's a hobby I absolutely love. I still live with my parents who won't charge me rent. My only real bills are my car payment, my insurance payment and gas. Nothing much else is a necesity.

I'll go to any expense for the things I love, and Anime is no exception.

If I didn't have my wonderful job, I would have 2 or 3 jobs to be able to continue my hobby. I'm addicted and I admit it, but I refuse to do anything about it.

The Last Blades are MVS carts with the inserts printed from Neo Geo For Life that I "edited" to customize my collection. Notice Akari all over the place, along with Lum, who has nothing to do with Neo Geo, but another one of my Anime loves. :D

Hope I satisfied people's curiosity.
