Metroid Zero Mission: How many E-Tanks do you have when you fight Mother Brain?

I can only find 6 or 7 (I don't have the game in front of me) - I've been bombing and blasting like a mother fucker and I can't find ANY MORE!!! Is that all their is before the fight with Mother Brain? I'm going crazy!

PS: I can't find the super bomb either

If I remember correctly, I only had one bottom row + 2 on the top when I fought MB. I got my first super bomb at the space pirate ship afterwards.

Keep in mind this was my first run through the game.

No, but seriously, I beat it with five tanks without too much trouble - so I wouldn't kill yourself trying to find all the rest of the tanks. Seven or eight should be plenty. The last boss was kind of a pushover too. Great game though - I fucking loved every nostalgic second of it.

game gets really fun (or frustrating) when you aim for a 100% or 15% item completion.

I didn't even know samus can 'store' her dash untill I checked out gamefaqs.

That depends. On hard level you can only have a max of 5 1/2 energy tanks. Tanks on hard only worth 1/2 tank.

Of course 6 full tanks by the end of the game.

By the end on the other difficulty settings would be 12

i had 165 missles 10 power missiles and 7 energy tanks. when i killed mother brain i had only 45% of my last tank. cut it close. it just pisses me off that the guns on the walls keep shooting me off the little platforn. i use every geen/power missile i had no misses. then a lot of normal rockets.
