I was digging through my old stuff and I found my old 3D0 and the only fun I can really ever remeber having with it was with GEX. Were there any really note worth games?

cool I'll have to try to find a few of those and check them out. I got this 3DO from my friend and all he gave me was GEX and Need for Speed.

Ditto on these

Star Control II is one of my fave games of the 32-bit era. I had so much fun with it.

Return Fire is a CLASSIC GAME NO DOUBT, even the psx version is beyond a good game, a MUST BUY FOR ANYONE....multiplayer is too good, one of the best soundtracks ever, those classical tunes make the game.

Road Rash & NFS i still whip out fo a lafff, and of course SSF2TX is awsome, soundtrack = BEST.

Yu Yu Hakusho import is wonderful. Sailor Moon (if you are into that kind of thing) is also a decent fighter. Both are, however, pretty hard to get your hands on...

I actually had lots of fun with my 3DO back in the day. My favorites were:

Samurai Shodown (the only one even close to the neo version back then - and it was actually pretty damned close, IMO)

FIFA soccer (i just liked it)

GEX (classic platformer with some pretty funny one-liners)

Road Rash (rockin' ass soundtrack with raw and entertaining gameplay)

Super Street Fighter II Turbo (a pretty damned nice port - definitely the best one back in the days of 3DO)

Unfortunately, my 3DO is still back at my parents house, but I'll be lugging it back when I go visit for Spring Break :D.

the 3DO was a hot system for street fighter fanboys, since it had the only port of super turbo for like 3 years until the saturn version came out in sf collection.

Star Control 2 without a doubt. Probably one of my top five games. I made my own maps and star charts for it for the quasi space locations.

3DO was a weird, "You're-really-cool-if-you-happen-to-have-it", super-expensive system that had a lot of bizarre, FMV-based craptacular games. The ads were great, though.

Game you must own:

Star Control 2

Other Best games in descending order:

1. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
2. Policenauts
3. Samurai Shodown
4. Return Fire
5. Out of This World and Flashback
6. Twisted
7. Alone in the Dark
8. Road Rash 3D
9. Fifa
10. All of the Press-A-Button-Watch-A-Cartoon games (Space Ace, Dragon's Lair 1 and 2, Brain Dead 13)

Games to avoid at all cost:

Mad Dog McCree and Myst.

Ballz: The Director's Cut and Killing Time were both pretty decent (to list something that hasn't been listed).

Escape from Monster Manor was lots of fun. Kinda repetitive at times, but the atmosphere was scary, and the monsters were done well.

The amount of ammunition and health packs decreases as the levels go on, making for some suspenseful situations later on in the game.

quarantine was a cool game conceptually, and it was actually pretty decent back then. it hasn't aged well at all, though.

3D0 is awesome!

As mentioned, Star Control II is one of the BEST all time games, on any system (the 3D0 version is much improved over the PC version)

Return fire, and the expansion maps o' death are great, and the 3D0 version is better than the PS1 version.

One game that noone mentioned is: Cannon Fodder. Its a great deal of fun, a simple but very challenging army-men game.
