Quick Japanese Candy Cab Question

I was wondering how the joysticks are mounted to the metal panels of the japanese candy cabs. From the pictures I've seen, there aren't screws on the top of the panel, so are there screws built in to the bottom of the panel? I want to know if the stick is mounted right to the metal panel, or if there is some housing it is mounted to.

If someone has a picture of the underside of a metal japanese panel with stick mounted that would be nice!
