next gen - which games have become/are becoming collectible?

whichnext gen games have already become collectibles and cost more than they did when released? and which games are set to become hot property in the coming years?

I'd say Rez seems like it stands to become one of the more sought after games one day. Specifically the Euro DC version and the Rez Limited Edition PS2 package.

Other than that, who knows.

airforce delta storm on xbox was going for like 75 on ebay before the re-released it for 20 bucks recently.

FFX international jap version and not asian
that one with special DVD
is usually sold around 70-80$ and raising

Shikigami no Shiro(the first one) for PS2
in its special package with the doll
around 100$ and raising
Only 1000 were produced if not wrong

Dead or Alive 2 for DC special package jap version
was also very rare
I remember an auction finished at 90$ last year

and yeah Rez DC Euro as well

I'd have to say Shin Megami Tensei PERSONA on PSX/PSone. That game didn't get released in large quantaties and was not your average RPG game, thus those who "FELT IT" hold onto to it and don't sell it... those who want it will more than likely pay up the ass for it if it's a MINT condition copy. *The idea was just too "different" for the mainstream audiences, and thus I salute ATLUS for having the balls to have released it here. Too bad we never got the Super Fami versions on the SNES. It's a "Cult" game at best.

...but that's my opinion.

I can see this coming collectible one day simply due to the limited release, however i think the games only so so.

A lot of other Atlus releases too are pretty low in release.

I doubt anything will become too collectible from this gen... aside from Steel Battalion.

If the DC counts then Street Fighter II X, Vampire Chronicles, Twinkle Star Sprites, Project Justice, Cannon Spike, Mars Matrix, Giga Wing 2, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike all seem to be becoming fairly collectible. Oh, and of course there's Border Down, with 3000 LE copies and 5000 normal copies floating around out there.

Lack of Love and Segagaga might also become collectible. And Space Channel 5 pt. 2 special is as well. And I believe Cosmic Smash is too.

On the PS2 there's... Rez. And thats about it.

GC? Nothing that I know of...

I was GOING to say Cubivore. Before I saw theres about 20 copies for sale on Ebay. Bear in mind this game is apparently rather tricksy to find in-stores, so who knows if these copies on Ebay are going for a justified price (around $45) or not.

Other than that I think almost every game in this thread is in the "hard to find unless you count Ebay" category. But then again, Radiant Silvergun, Panzer Saga, hell even Metal Slug aren't all that HARD to find either.

I'd add the US verison of ICO to that list too though. One day somebody is going realize what a fucking diamond in the very very rough that game is.

That Cubivore spike is odd, someone must have run across a bunch of them because normally there are maybe 3 up there usually all used.
