sorry about the spam, but i'd like to say that you should try experimenting with something else for the baseplate. i think that white (cutting?) board looks really out of place.

i bought one of these from kenny not too long ago and i couldnt be happier. it doesnt say his name and all of that crap on it. im not sure why anyone would have a problem with these consolized mvs'. i wish i had the room to put a full sized machine in my apartment, but im perfectly content with what ive got. btw, if kenny can get 600-700 bucks out of someone for one, more power to him.

I agree that the screws look a little weird - but that could be remedied easily enough. I like the white baseplate though. Just my opinion.

Not sure what you guys are talking about. There are no "oval" screws. They are circular. Must be teh angle I take the pictures at. I cannot counter-sink screws in sheet metal. It's too thin. Of all people, you should know this Tonk.

Concerning the baseplate, I do use cutting boards since they fit perfectly under the MVS PCBs. The only other option I have is wood (at this time) & that looks terrible. I think the cutting boards look just fine.

Keep in mind, there is roughtly $100 worth of joysticks included, bringing the price up some. I sell these units outside of ebay for $550 + shipping. Since ebay hits me with fees, I raise the price by $20 in order to cover them. (Reserve was set at $569.99)

Bottom line: on top of the $175-$200+ for the baord itself you have to figure in the extra parts (power supply, ports, switches, etc) and the CUSTOM labor. Then you also have the two controllers worth a solid $100.
All parts should be about $350-$400+
Kenny's custom work is worth money...PERIOD.

There are many people in this world that get paid TOP DOLLAR for thier skills and the custom work that they perform. Ever hear of a little show called American Chopper. Eat that bitches.
Besides, kenny's customized boards are some of the best made thus far. $700 is a little steep, but even he has said that you get get one directly though him for less.

To answer a few stupid questions:

- Why not just paint one than sell it, Wah, wah wah:

A) well fucktard, then it would just be a painted MVS board....and even less people need those. We are talking about CONSLIZED MVS boards. pull your head out of your ass.

- I can get a supergun, mvs board and a few games for that price. I'm so smart.

A) Oh, you mean those big ugly fucking messes that you call a gaming settup (more like a travesty to gaming). Yes, I have seen all of the pictures and they say enough so i don't need to explain anymore.

- I could get a cab for less than that!

A) well, yes and no. good luck finding one. if you do please don't forget the gas and mileage that you will have to put into your car not to mention your own time (as much as you poor bastards may deny it, time is worth money). lets's not even get into the price of shipping and the headaches it can bring. also, not everyone has the space or lifestyle for a cabinet.
