Have You even seen it?
Completely forgot to catch a matinee of the first HotD movie when it was in theaters. The article in the above link refers to a plot involving the AMS -- was the AMS even mentioned in the first film? From what I'd been reading (and the trailers I'd seen) it didn't look like the first film had even the slightest thing in common with the game series (except, of course, zombies and guns).

My kid brother told me that 70% of the crowd in the theatre left.
While my gf and i watched Kill Bill vol.1

I saw it in my Psyche class my professer is a movie nut and he just brought it to watch. I saw half of it and that is it, walked out to study in the library.

I heard Curien(HOTD 1 boss) is one of the kids.

Ravers turning into Street Fighters in 10 seconds killed it for me.

DON'T WATCH IT!!
You have been warned:p

I snuck in to see the movie with a friend of mine, and I still wanted a refund at the end. That movie sucked so bad, I can't even describe it. I imagine the experience is kind of like child birth, in that you can't describe how bad it is unless you experience it.

yea. to spoil the movie for you curien is one of the survivors in the flik
yea. it was pretty bad.
and yea it wasn't really one of those so bad that it's good movies.
but I'm a HOTD nut so I tolerate it slightly.
but anyways, you get to meet G in like the last 2 minutes of the film
and he's black?
wtf.
but then again, it's not like the whole film followed the actual
game anyways, well. except for the super in game transitions
of all of the games.

don't touch me there!

That was the movie I went to see instead -- I've been trying like hell to remember what I was doing that weekend rather than see HotD. A friend of mine (who thinks Tarantino is overrated, anyway) was pissed about the "obvious money-making bullshit tactic" of splitting Kill Bill into 2 films, and so he hoped that HotD would make more money than KBv1. I, on the other hand, don't mind paying to see 2 halves of an extra-long film (as long as both halves entertain me -- KBv1 did that in spades), so I was hoping HotD would tank (since all the info I'd seen beforehand told me it would be a total steaming pile with next to nothing to with the games) -- if only to convince Hollywood that licensing a game title, writing a script with no basis in the game's plot, and making the whole thing bad in general (Stephen DeSouza, are you listening, you fucking wank?!) will lose you money every time. Apparently, Hollywood has not been convinced by the failure that was HotD.

Warning appreciated, but as a video game fan in general -- and a House fan in particular -- I'll have to see this thing eventually. Maybe I can con my buddy into adding it to his NetFlix queue so I don't have to actually pay to watch this shit.
