I paid Will Henley (aka, the notorious "Aaron Lewis") for a phantom converter.

I had a deal where I paid Helly (aka Helly Original Colapunks) $205 for 3 MVS games (NAM 1975, Blues Journey and Neo Drift Out).

To this date I still have not received anything.

He claims they were rejected by his Post Office and returned to him, then he couldn't send them because he was out of town, then it was because he wasn't near a computer to check his email, then he claims they were lost....you get the idea.

He popped back up about a month ago, and then he disappeared again soon after I PMed him about the situation again...

At this point I really don't care about the games or the money, I just hope no one else gets screwed by this guy like I did...

So far I've had nothing but good deals with people, and everyone's been 2 Legit, just like I go out of my way to keep my customers when dealin' down happy and with the quickest service possible. Sorry some of you guys got burned though. :(

Yeah, I'd have to say my experience has been similar to yours. I came close to getting scammed by aaronlewis in a trade, but thankfully I never got around to sending him merchandise. Other than that, my overall buying/selling/trading deals have been very smooth!

Stupidest deal: I sold my Cubivore figures to Freelancer I want them back ;)

Really though aside from a couple deals where I was let down by condition but realized I never asked, all deals have been at least good.

I never got scammed by anybody, but I think the dumbest deal I ever did was a trade for the SvC bootleg.

Hehe!
They're really some unique figures! :) I finally managed to track down an additional set via eBay.

If I remember correctly Aaron Lewis was screwing around with you too. Oh well.

BTW, Very cool XBox Live handle. I owned a 1978 Les Paul custom for a year or so. I sold it for an offer I couldn't refuse, but I still have my regrets.

Yeah, he screwed around with me, but didn't scam me. I don't have a problem with him anymore since he said he's paid everybody back.

Thanks on the handle props. I think it's just a big coincidence that my middle name is Paul and that I'm into guitars as well ;) Not a big Les Paul fan for some reason though. They're way too heavy and have too much of a bassy tone for me. They're quality guitars though.

yeah there were 2 deals i had done that i got screwed over on.

not that the ones i did the deal with didn't come through, just that they came out pretty well ahead in the deal and bothers me a bit.

i'd have pestered them about it but since the deal had already been done you gotta stick to the 'a deal's a deal' rule.

oh well.

you win some, you lose some.

:(

Actually, Aaron Lewis has not paid everyone back. He still owes me $175 back for the bullshit phantom-1. I even offered to take MVS carts as re-imbursements but he stopped responding to my emails. I heard he still posts here? Is this true?

I sold a mint and complete SNES Earthbound for $40 shipped last year. Right after I agreed to sell it I checked Ebay and saw crappy ones going for $90-100. I already agreed to sell it so there was no backing out, I don't do that. Really sucked though, even worse is the fact that I wanted the game back after I let it go and ended up buying a copy in worse condition for $100.

Like a lot of folks, I got taken in the 8-month aaronlewis saga. It was a huge pain in the ass at the time, but I did get paid back eventually, plus some free stuff, and don't particularly hold any hard feelings against Will.

Hey THEBEAST -- did that one guy pay you yet?

Well me, no bad deals here per se, but I did have a couple people back out on trades, and that kinda peeved me.

1 guy in fact, and I won't name names, was selling his D&D Collection for $75 shipped. I was due to buy it; we agree on all the principles. Suddenly he PMs me and tell me the game is "no longer available due to circumstances he couldn't control."

Yeah, right.

It happened ironically enough when I post that Dracula X for 100 bucks auction -- I'm pretty sure he saw it and checked up on D&D and found out he could get more.

I PMed him to ask if that was the case, and that if it was thats coo I wouldn't hold a grudge.

He never even got back to me.

:spock:

Another time someone agreed to buy Contra: SS for $25 but he delayed payment forever and never told me. Then I just said screw it and made it re-available... damn bastard.

Other than that, I've had good deals here.

Including Taromaru for $80 shipped.

My favorite though was with long-time outstanding NG member SamuraiX. I sent him complete SS Waku Waku 7 for his disc only Saturn Bomberman and his multi-tap adaptor. My 1st exchange here at n-g.com and SB's only my favorite game ever... so yeah, that was an awesome experience.
