I picked 2. While both one and two are equally badass and I've yet to see all of 3, the T-1000 getting frozen by the liquid nitrogen near the end of T2 was badass!

As much as I loved Rise of the Machines for having the balls to actually go there and make Judgement Day an inevietable situation, and not cheesing out on us, giving us a possible back drop for a 4th flim >>> T4: Freedom in the Ashes <<< I VOTED TERMINATOR 1. *The movie is a classic and ARNIE just fookin' rocks.

{Gun Store Owner:} "...Anything else?"
{Terminator:} "PHASE Plasma Rifle in a 40 Watt Range!"
{Gun Store Owner: ~Chuckling} "Hey just what you see Pal.
Now the rifles you can take now, but there's a 5 day waiting
period on the... Hey you can't to that."
{Terminator: ~Chambers a Shotgun round}"WRONG!"

...blows mutha' fucka' away!

:buttrock:

And to top it off the original "Solid Snake" was the soldier from the future (Michael Biehn) didn't get enough props, kickin' some Cyberdyne/SkyNet Ass!

T2.

"Come with me if you want to live" coming out of the mouth of Ahnold was great. Especially after T1.

I agree 100%. Perfectly stated.

T1 for me all the way. The pace was just incredible, and the plot very well thought out. By far the best of the three movies.

Gotta pick 2. John Connors as a teenager was cool. Edward Furlong did a good job, I was a young teen myself at the time and he was definately an icon in my age groups horizons. The T-1000 was cool, the way he melted, and just the whole liquid metal routine was kickass. Also Sarah Connors was a tough woman who could throw down with the best of them. And who can forget Arnold when he loses part of his arm in the steel mill, and is crushed and battered and nearly dies, but feeds off his backup juices and hangs onto that rotating wheel and comes rolling up with that huge gun and Sarah pushes John out of the way and Arnold blasts the hell out of the T-1000. Awesome man. Totally awesome.

2, and anyone who votes for 3 needs to get their head checked.

I liked 1 best for reasons already stated, plus one more.

Keep in mind that seeing it first run, no one knew what a Terminator was. He just kept getting shot again and again and kept getting up! What the hell is he? Why can he get hit with a SHOTGUN and keep coming?

What the hell is going on?!?

You can't beat that. The unrelenting pace in addition to the fact that the enemy wasn't understood just made it a total thrill. I really like 2 as well, but 1 just has a higher degree of intensity to it.

Oh, and check that cameo (well, not techincaly a cameo since he was just breaking in to screen acting) by Bill Paxton at the beginning. He is dressed as one of the punks from which Arnie gets his clothes. If I remember correctly, his line was, "Fuck you, asshole!" and then he drew a switch blade.

i liked T3 the best, it's just so, so...GOOD, i mean i have seen all three and none of them come close to the amount of hoplessness and hope that T3 provides, plus that T-X bot who kicks arnie's ass countless times...oh it's sheer poetry in motion.

You know, I really really really really want to like T1 the most, but the last scene at the end is terrible. It should be the most suspenseful scene of the whole movie, but the stop motion LIMPING robot makes me fall out of my chair with laughter every time. Even sitting here thinking about while I'm typing is giving me a good chuckle.

T2 for me. While I love T1, T2 is an improvement over it in every way. There comes a time when you can have too much special effects, and that's why I generally prefer original movies over their sequels, but T2 didn't overdo it at all. In fact, most of the special effects were necessary, especially in the T-1000's case.

Arnold punching his face and him morphing to grab his fist was fucking awesome. Or Arnold slamming him up against the wall face first, and then him morphing himself to have his back against the wall made my jaw drop. Nothing like being able to sink into the floor, slide through bars, and be able to take a direct shotgun blow to the head to make you a badass. That's not counting the fact the thing was able to copy people and form knives and other stabbing weapons from it's body.

In T2, throughout the whole movie you were left wondering how the fuck they could ever take this thing out. I mean, if they never came across that plant, how could they take it out? That's a true mark of a badass villan, imo.

I agree with Force too. That part where the machine is limping makes me laugh as well.

IMO T2:JD is an epochal Hollywood classic, perhaps a contender for genre defining.....

However I must pick T1 for the 80's style, the horror genre overtones and Michael Bhein for being a total badass underrated actor:buttrock:

It was a low budget 80s flick, it's a miracle it looks as good as it does. :p

I'll probably change my mind in ten minutes, but I'm going with T2.

T2. The story surpassed part one BIG TIME. The idea of a liquid morphing termiintor was just cool.

T1 has aged badly, especially the scene where Ahnuld removes an eye.

T3- blows, the only thing good about it.....the ending.

That's my opinion not yours...............

Without a doubt I said 2.

The first one built up for the 2nd one, and the 3rd one was so bad it made 2 even better.

Part 2 is one of my favorite movies. The Evil T-1000 is an awesome badguy. I still like part 1 just fine, and I did like number 3 as well, though I went knowing that it wouldn't live up to part 2.

terminator 3 would have been twice as good if edward furlong was in it. i still think it was a really good movie, the only parts i didn't like were the "talk to the hand" bits that tried to turn the terminator into some kind of dumb comic relief.

but i know they didn't use furlong cause at the time of filming he was in and out of rehab for being a junkie (still).

definetly best effects of all 3, but T2 is still the best storywise.

T1
allthough it isnt fair to pick just one because the only way to watch them is to sit and watch all 3 in a row that way you can watch the entir story unfold
( the only way to watch T2 is to watch it with the extended sceans and the theatrical ending)

The first is fuckin' great, but the second is just badass. It's a real toss up, but I said 2.

And this vote shows that at least two people on here are retarded. T3? P-U.

Voted T2.

More quotable, better villian, better action scenes, classic score, better plot, Sarah Connor as badass > Sarah Connor as annoying young woman and much better effects.

Terminator 1 has my personal favorite scene of the three (raid on the police station), but T2 beats it overall.
