Shit... that is f'n insane. Do they really have that many N64 and DC systems to go around? Is this a worldwide offer or only at certain locations?

Dude - that rocks!

I'm sorta doubtful that this is a nation wide deal, but I'll be heading up to EB games later on today just in case :).

Just called the EB in the Galleria Mall here in Las Vegas -- they're doing the same promotion, and still have DCs and N64s in stock. Thanks for the heads up, guys (and especially to Ein_boser_Schotte for calling my attention to this thread) -- I'm out the door!

Well the ad says all over Texas (With store listings) So who knows?

Well while the deal on the hardware itself might be a good thing, have you honestly seen the condition the average dip wad leaves their USED games in on a Disc format? Having been in the retail business for used games twice now (once Pre EB GAMES @ Game World) then at GAME STOP for XMAS money... I dunno, unless someone is an anal collector who sells their shit, the DC games you'll buy even if cheap will be scratched all to hell and look like crap overall. I swear by "I AM" that this one dude once brought in a D.C. game that's it's instruction booklet looked like it had dried up ejaculate stains on it! So again, unless you're getting MINT condition games and/or finding back stocked games that never sold, getting happy over a sale like this is only marginally cool. *Not to rain on the parade or anything, but I want my games (Non MVS) both "Complete" and as "BLING" as possible.

that's still such a great deal, even if a lot of the used games are scratched up at gamestop or EB for the dream cast. I'd get an N64, but already have one. You wouldn't have to worry about the games getting too scratched up to the point it's not playable.

And to think I paid 800 bucks for it for the import system at launch. If I could kick my own ass I would!! Still one of the best systems ever.

It's funny, DCs were only $15 ANYWAY. I picked one up maybe 2 weeks ago. The EB my bro works at had a bunch of them then, though I doubt they do now...

Edit: Is this for a new or used DC?

True, all used stuff...my original plan was buy one crappy game for $1.99 or something...get the system...trash the game as a beer coaster...then clean up the Dreamcast (Since I love making systems shine like new)..and buy the games off of here..but since they are all out...its crap totally..

The plus side...at least Dreamcast when its gone from these stores..will no longer endure such mistreatment and may it rest in peace..and that way I can at least be happy that I will not see abuse like that again...poor Dreamcast...

Oh, well. It sure would be nice to have a sealed DC around for collector's sake. I'll probably buy one, anyway. I was already planning on picking up a used unit as a spare at some point and I need PSO Ver.2 to try out this fanserver business, anyway.

Weird, ebgames.com mentions nothing of it...

At any rate check out their buy 15 DC games for 50 bux. Then look at the 6 or so game choices you get -- LMAO :shame:

The store I went to didn't even have any DC games. Lots of NES games but no systems. :blow_top:

So I ended up buying an N64 (never had one) and Killer Instict Gold (never played KI either ;) )

Can't wait to try it out. :)

Made it over to the Galleria Mall here in Las Vegas yesterday, and picked up 2 DCs and 2 N64s. I've had an NCS DC mod chip for nearly as long as I've had my import DC, but never got around to installing it. I'll probably put it in one of these U.S. DCs so as not to violate my import DC, and hang on to the other U.S. DC as a backup. I was originally hoping that the N64s would be the later colored models, since they've apparently met with greater success in overclocking attempts. Unfortunately, they're the original dark grey / blackish models, which seem to not like the overclocking thing too much. Ah, well -- at least now I can start looking for the 5 or so N64 games that didn't look like complete crap (SD Hiryuu no Ken, Dual Heroes, etc.).
