JUst had a few miller lites myself. It's the best non-beer drinkers beer there is.

Get some cans of Natural Ice. It'll be nasty if your a non-beer drinker but it'll get you drunker than other beers. 5.9% by volume! w00t!

Me I can't stand Miller Lite but I drink it anyways since it's commonly left in the fridge afterhours.

Everybody here should know what the best beer is, and that my friends is Samuel Adams. It has plenty of flavors to try, a nice variety of lagers, like Boston Lager, Winter Lager, Spring Ale, Sam Adams Light... damn good beer. I prefer the Boston Lager myself. I highly recommend it. The only other beer I drink besides Sam Adams is Shiner Bock and that is only if Sam isn't available.

Kirin Classic Lager

Kirin Goku Nama

Same as usual...

I went to a cafe on the weekend though and had a Honey-Yuzu beer (yuzu is a kind of bitter fruit). It was in a draft glass, so I don't know if it was an actual product of some brewery or whipped up by the cafe.

I also got to go drinking with two of the N-G com members, RBJakeSpecial and Big Bruno who was visiting from the 'States. Afterwards we hit the arcades and got our asses kicked by the Tokyo regulars.

Sam Adams is excellent beer...if only I didn't have to take out a second mortgage just to buy a six pack, where does an american beer get off costing up to $10 for a six pack, ridiculous.

Just had meself some Guinness Draught from the bottle...BRILLIANT! :p

Sam Adams is excellent American beer, but gents, you have to face up to the fact that on a global scale it's not really top 40 material.

Agreed - Sam A has gone noticeably downhill in the last 5-6 years as well.

Really great American beers are local microbrews and of course, America's Oldest Brewery: Yuengling!

There are very few globally distributed American beers that are worthwhile. Most of the really good stuff comes from small artisanal breweries and stays local.

Speaking of this, anyone know what ever happened to Celis Brewery in Texas? I haven't seen a Celis White since the mid-90s. That was a truly great summer beer.

I don't drink much alcohol at all mostly due to my meds, but think it's an overrated pasttime anyhow... but when I do I like:

Sapporo
Shiner Bock
Heineken
Guiness Stout
Blue Ribbon
St. Pauli Girl

...then I hit the good shit. Singapore Slings, Mellon Ball Cocktails, Long Island Iced Teas, Tequila Sunrises, and a shooter of SMURF PISS

As far as mixed drinks go, I pretty much stick with my usual gin and tonic...unless you consider Black and Tans mixed drinks, I love'em.
