Ethernet built in... no, you don't want that... go for one of the wifi built in... 802.11 or BlueTooth, than you can sit on the sofa and browse porn on the PocketPC version of IE (or neo-geo.com). That's what I do at least... well the porn part...

OK, quick run down... there are two current types of wireless connections. The more common is the 802.11B/G format, that is your typical wireless format that most people have in their house/office. Then there is BlueTooth, which has a shorter range, and a little trickier to setup, but offers a few benefits (such as better security if setup correctly).

BlueTooth never really took off, but it is starting to make a come back in the periperal market, namely wireless mice, keyboards, and PDAs/Cell phones. BlueTooth can be used to connect to the internet just like 802.11B with an access point (such as the AXIS9010) or a computer with a bluetooth network card installed (running as a gateway of sorts).

Out of the box, 802.11 is the easier, more solid format... and cheaper as well 9 times out of 10. However, it is nice to have bluetooth if you have a bluetooth enabled phone that can synch with the PDA (or the PDA can use the phone as a modem to connect to the internet when you are away from home).

There are also PDAs with built in phones... costly, but fun...

Anyway, I am tired... hehe, TonK PM me if you have some things you have questions about. ;)

Tonk you got two options really.

If you want to actually browse the web, then I suggest you stay away from the hand held devices, you won't be able to read shit w/o scrolling every .5 seconds.

That said, check this thing out. Ain't hand held, but damn close!

If you really want the handheld stuff, then this thing is prolly one of your best bets.

Both have integrated wireless, which you should use over any kind of wired Ethernet solution when you're on the go. Though that ultra small laptop does have an ethernet jack buit in too. I highly reccomend it.

These replies are great, but I'm NEVER spending $1000+ for that stuff...I'd rather blow it on a JPN Metal Slug...

I've been out of the technology loop for a while, guess I'll keep the laptop

bluetooth is meant more for peripheral devices than as wireless internet access point.

think of all your devices with no cables.
keyboard, printer, mouse, phone etc..

get a phone as a phone...
what the heck is a pocketpc phone used for?
