Those were all great reads. Thanks for the link Snoop!

I agree with the entire list, but did the Game Gear really deserve to be on it since it lasted as long as it did (91-97)? I can still remember when I got a Nomad for my birthday in '95. It came from Toys R Us and the price tag said $40 and it shocked the hell out of me since just 2 weeks before hand it was $160. Damn, time machines would be perfect for this sort of thing. :crying:

Lynx should have been #2 behind NGPC.... it was technologically ahead of every portable by at least 2 GENERATIONS! I think the GB SP finally caught up to the power of the Lynx, after 14 years. Heck, I bet the GB SP can't reproduce S.T.U.N Runner like the Lynx can.

AH HAHA. That thing was such a piece of garbage.

Poor, NGPC. Still rules among my handhelds, the Lynx and the GBA.

Great list. Too bad it's 3 years too late for the NGPC.

I would move the Turbo Express up to at least fourth ahead of the Game Gear.

I can't tell you how many hours and batteries I wasted on my Microvision Breakout game! God damn it was nice to see the Microvision make the list. I loved that little/big handheld

PSP will be on that list... If anything the competition will be at the level of gb vs wonderswan @ japan.

I can't believe it was on that list..I'd put the R-Zone up there before that..
I do have a collection of R-Zone stuff (almost complete)since I collect handheld games but I like the MicroVision ..
It's one of the major Handheld games I collect for.(Though there is not a lot to collect for it).I have a bunch of them.
That handheld was way before it's time..
I show people them today and they are amazed on how vintage they are and how they work..

(Though I understand what he's getting at)Not making it.

Surely the Nokia N Gage should've been 1st in my books. I know the NGPC didn't sell too well when it first hit but it would have to be a lot better than that Nokia shit.

All they did was list every handheld except for Game Boy.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd at least consider the Game Gear as a system that "made it."

Game Gear definitely made it, it was a sweet handle and better than Gameboy for a year or two. They should have called the list "Everything Since Gameboy That's No More" cause basically Nintendo has the handheld market by the balls.

People are reading this backwards. The number one spot doesn't mean the NGPC was the biggest failure, it means that out of the all the handheld systems that have come and gone, its the best one next to all the handhelds that have made it (read: Gameboy).

Good read.

lol they didn't even have enough for a top 10, that's why they had to pull the n-gage (which just came out and is still being made) and those old milton bradley handhelds out their ass.

turbo express should have been number 2, or even number 1 IMO.

all they really did was list every portable except gameboy and shuffle them up. where was the tapwave? that's sold less than n-gage and is a better system.

Or the PC Engine LT ... ;)

It also had a Super CD-Rom² connection !

It ruled.
