Hello

I'm back with my troubles to beat the SNK bosses... This time it's Sissy from the awesome Matrimelee who makes me suck. The first time I saw her I tought:"Damn she's quite cute and looks damn inoffensive! It's a matter of seconds Haha!!"

Her spell wich makes get the Abubo spirit from the box is always prioritary!! Holy shit, that girl is unbeatable... And moreover she can also spell the frog wich makes a good wall to her. She's fucking cheap and as far as I heard conversations about Johann from RotD, Noise Factory bosses look heavily cheap man!

Any technique proposals?

1) Double jump
2) Bread and butter combo
3) Repeat

If you calculate the distances well enough (nothing hard, really) she'll perform most of the times her Abubo or sword attacks. Let them whiff, land behind the sweet princess and combo her to death. Even if she blocks there shouldn't be problems, as this will help you building your meter and the chances of being severely damaged by her counter are low.

Just two advices:

-don't try to throw her;
-don't taunt. Never.

No - Do taunt in the one circumstance that you have under 5 seconds left and you don't want her to surprise you. You'll enter the special mode and eat away the clock.

Also, distancing is key with her. You could dash at her at then roll past her right as she she does the Abubo box to the side you came from (which you won't be at anymore), and then use your bread and butter combo as mentioned before.

By the way, I think Sissy is pretty hot.

There should be an option on the poll for "yes please"

Sissy is awesome. It took me a while to figure out how to beat her but now she goes down all the time;)

Also if you keep some distance from her she will always dash at you and you can use your CD attack over and over to win.

You have to time it just right and some character have better CD attacks than others. For example: Olof=great range while Mr. Jones=terrible range.

This is the easiest way I've found to beat her.

Yeah, didn't thought about that. In fact, if you trust enough your reflexes and you suspect Sissy is going to catch you in a trap (frog + dash, for example, that could lead to a blocked dashing kick into guard crush and Abubo-in-the-box attack) you can trigger the Bloodline Battle way earlier than the last 5 seconds, as it's not impossible to have a tie for all the 5 hits.

I find easier my way, as the invincibility frames during the double jump are enough to avoid a surprise attack in the ascending phase. Rolling requires perfect timing and distance, considering how fast Abubo comes out and how much range he has.

I admit your method would give you much more time to gain ground and to land a combo, though.

Damned it's fucking risky man! But let's try, Ive nothing more to loose.. I was close to beat her with the jump above and combo back...

I told it just as a theory, i rarely use it myself and i don't think the whole BLB thing could be such a valid alternative.
Traps like the one i talked about are tricky just because you realize it when it's too late, when Sissy is starting the dash kick and the frog is quite near. If there was space and time enough to taunt there shouldn't be any problem to avoid it all by jumping, rolling, blocking the frog with a safe attack (fireballs...) or whatever else. In the worst case, waiting, blocking and sacrificing a powerbar for a CD counter would probably be safer than trying this kind of stuff.
Anyway, if you managed to get a decent advantage and don't want to risk, a way to waste some time is always welcome.

Try again with the double jump tech, i can grant you it does miracles once you get used to it. Even if it's still lame to fight like this.

Yuck!

I totally suck at fighting Princess Sissy. I got pretty close a few times but I gave up in the end. I got the game a few weeks after it came out and I thought that the game would sell out quickly like Rage of the Dragons. I figured since Shawn thought the game was better than Rage of the Dragons, it would sell out without a price drop. Boy was I wrong, the game has dropped $90 in price and there is still over 100 copies left of a 200 copy English run. I guess you can't tell sometimes how well these games will sell.

Anyway, I played the game a few times and kicked the asses of all the guys I fought up to Princess Sissy. I didn't even use any special moves either. I completely sucked at Princess Sissy and after fighting her about 6 times, I gave up and have never played the game again. That was back in July of 2003. The storyline in the game puzzles me. The premise of the game is to beat Princess Sissy and become her husband and rule along side her if I am not mistaken. A number of the fighters in the game are women so how in the hell does that work out? I guess Princess Sissy is bisexual as far as I can figure it out since I guess she would end up marrying a woman if she is beaten by a woman fighter. Anyway, I really like the music in her stage but that is about it. Perhaps one day in the distant future I might try and beat her once again.

my idea of the dash->roll wasn't as effective as the double jump.

problem being the distance between Sissy and her obnoxious frogs.

Damn, a friend of mine only played Matrimelee a couple of times and he beat Sissy the first time he faced her up... He did the same with Abubo in RotD and Geese in RBS... I'm fucking amazed... :eek:

Be sure to do a late double jump. You'll confuse her and it's open season on the little bitch.

I'm so out of shape in this game. Last night, she perfected my Buntaro. It was sad. I forgot what his stomp move helps with. I forgot his SDM. I suck.

My friend beat her without doing ANY double jump. He found a moment when to jump, a single jump, without being touched by the Abubo spirit. Amazing...
