Finally..

This game is awesome.

Finally something for us Super Metroid fanatics. Much much better than Fusion IMO. Fusion was too rigid.

back to playing......

I just beat Mother Brain now onto the new missions which I saved and will get back to tomorrow.

Overall I liked Fusion more but together they remind me why I love Metroid so much.

I thought that I would never hear my self say or even think this but Metroid Zero is actually better than the original. I love this game. I've beaten it 5 times already. But I still don't know how to open the Hard setting. Of cours 3 of the times I beat it was on a different cartridge than the one I own now. But does any one know how to open hard mode.
Also couple other things. If you have Metriod Fusion and can link up to another GBA I suguest doing so it opens more really kick ass pictures in a new gallery.
The other thing on the Original metroid dont forget the 2 natorious codes.

Oh and my best time so far on normal is 1hr28min at 48% complete. This will change I'm actually going through again to beat that time and hopfully will access the hard mode. But I have a fealing that I have to get 100% complete to get hard mode to open.

The game was fantastic until you beat Mother Brain. Then it gets shitty for a little while, then great again.

*SPOILERS*

Is the final boss Meta Ridley? I couldn't tell.

I don't think its Meta, just a mechanical version of him.. I cant remember correctly abot Prime though... wasn't MetaRidley a cyborg, and not a robot?

I figured it was Meta since this game is supposed to lead into Prime.

I remember that he was definitely modified - I'm not sure about how exactly. I'm pretty sure that he was genetically modified - not sure about any additional robotic modifications though.

Anyway, I got the game on Tuesday (my eb world didn't have it Monday :( ), and beat it last night. Great game - I thought it was right up there with Fusion. Super Metroid is still my favorite of the series (followed CLOSELY by Prime), but all the Metroid games are great. I can't think of a series that's more consistently excellent.

How is it this game leads into Prime?
So prime is acutally a prequil not a sequile?
From what I understand the GB Metroid 2 should come after Metriod Zero Mission.

And now that I think about it. This is a remake of the first game so why is it called Zero Mission. This one does not predate the original NES version.

The order is Metroid/Zero Mission, Prime, Metroid 2, Super Metroid, and finally Fusion.

But really, you're better off just ignoring Nintendo's half assed storyline. Do the same with the Zelda series.

Got the game on Tuesday, beat it at 11:00 AM Wednesday morning. Going to play though normal mode one more time then get into hard mode. I have to say though that the game has one of the BEST plot twists after you beat Mother Brain. The suprise factor was right up there with the middle of WindWaker. This game...I have to honestly say I like it just as much as Super...which is saying alot! Everything about the game screams quality. It's nice too that it leaves a bit open for super metroid as well the seemless integration into Prime. I think its a great storyline arch. Not quite as random as zelda. At least all the games tie together in one storyline form or another. I cant get enough of this game. With this and FFCC I'm not going to have much time for studies or work the next few weeks. Dont care what anybody else sayz...NINTENDO ROCKS:buttrock:

Just so you know that's not a spoiler, that ending is from fussion. There are similar ending pictures in Zero Mission that you can save in the gallery.

Oh also, in case anyone is interested, the code to play as suitless samus in the original is:

000000 000020
000000 000020

Unlike the Justin Bailey code this starts you at the begining of the game.

sweet! Although, oddly enough, I cant get the justin bailey code to work in the orginal mode. Works just fine on the version on Prime. Or did this code replace it?

I just beat the game for the second time. I must say, I knocked quite a bit off of my time. First time was 3 hours and 57 minutes, with 50% of the items. This time was 2 hours and 28 minutes, with 48% of the items.
