Fuckin A, good topic
Ministry- In the late 80's they were the cutting edge of industrial music. Seething guitar riffs combined with electronic knowhow and raspy grinding vocals. Then the end drew near,
Psalm 69 came out, and it started to suck. 3 or 4 good songs and a bunch of metal. After that, forget it, Ministry became one of the worst bands in the world. Not that I hate metal, it just isn't what Ministry is supposed to be. Shows you what heroin can do to you
Depeche Mode- My second favourite band of all time, and at one time the leaders in the new wave electronic sound. The last album was totally boring and uninspired, and Dave Gahan's solo album is complete shit. Ever since Alan Wilder left the band, DM just hasn't been the same
Front Line Assembly- What happened here. Bill Lieb used to have his finger on the pulse of what the industrial community wanted. I think too many side projects (especially
Delierium) have taken up too much of his time. He needs to refocus on his bread and butter FLA. Most of the more recent FLA efforts have been weak to say the least....
The Cure- Still one of the best bands in the world, but Robert Smith doesn't seem to want to do anything anymore. They are playing a show in the US in May, but it is just one date. There hasn't been an album of all new material in 5 years. Either break up, or start kicking ass again. Bloodflowers couldn't have taken that much out of you
Skinny Puppy- Sporadic shows and a couple of weak singles are the only offerings from Puppy in the last 7 years or so, and before that their last album
The Process sucked dick. Way to experimental and unorganized. I guess the death of Dwayne Goettel really fucked them up?
I'm sure there are tons more, but those are the other ones that come to mind.
