Dragon Warrior because of Akira Toriyama character design, Final Fantasy because of gameplay.

Definitely Dragon Warrior. I love the character designs more and it's really the first RPG I've ever owned and played.

FF 7
is my 2nd fave game of ALL tIME
anyway I voted DW cause is what EVRYTHING started from

if you have a look at first ff you'll see how much they took from dw series

not saying square merely copied Huji Hori's ideas
but at least they had good ideas to start with

the problem with this poll, is not enough people have Played dragon quest's. So less people know that FF stole most of DQ's gameplay along the way...

agree

anyway as I said in my post
saying square stole from enix is too much

keep thinking
that watching at yuri hoji games made their work more simple

but they changed things in a massive way
with FF4 already

while enix kept its traditional job system till DQ7
square has evolved(?????)

Dragon Warrior all the way. It's the first RPG I ever laid eyes on. I've put many hours into FF games as well, but I still hold the DW series as my favorite, especially DW4 (Oh how we would love a domestic PSX release):crying:

Oh my god your avatar is from that SNL 'Robot Insurance' skit where the robots are after old people's medicine to use as fuel.

played about every final fanstasy, and a few dragon warriors. but come on, final fantasy is a whole hell of a lot better in about every way. even if dragon warrior started the craze.

Final Fantasy easily.

But I did enjoy Dragon Warrior since I kept pissing off the Princess at the end of the first installment.

Dragon Warrior

FF lost it's magic already with the release of FF X-2 ...... what a waste ... FF X was a great game, but it hardly has anything to do with the series. but with X-2, maan they really fucked it up totaly.

judging from FF XII pics, it seems that the game will follow the 2 previous FF's, which I consider sad, really. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy the recent FF games (FF X was the most game I ever played .... with nearly 150 hours), but it just doesn't have the same magic that it had before.

Do you mean in terms of gameplay or in plotline? Because in plotline, it seems (to me at least) that it'll follow FFTA, in that they're using the Ivalice from that game (and they have viera and "lizards" in the screenshots)

I like them both but I've spent more time playing Final Fantasy, so I voted for that one. :)

Dragon Warrior, beyatch! Enix's DW series never strayed far from the path, while Squaresoft's FF series has been on a downhill s**t-slide ever since VIII.

Ah, square and enix joining to make a super uber crap company. Wonderful.

NOTHING is better than some of the moments in PS series. Chasing a fat dog around the planet for money? Priceless. Seeing a planet explode? Wow. Super hard ass dungeons with no save tiles? Too damn bad ass. And then, then we have all the cool music and so on from PSO.

Also, one of the first games to feature tons of great art during the whole game: PS4. PS4 isn't just an RPG, it's a really well done anime.
