Im having trouble figuring out how to get 480p out of SSX3. I know it supports it, but it isn't doing it and I dont see any options in system or game settings for this. :(

I have heard that only certain more recent PS2 models support 480p, but I have been unable to confirm this.

I do know that none of the games I have that supposedly support 480p run in 480p, unless there is a trick like holding the start button down on boot-up or something.

The new models support progressive scan DVD PLAYBACK. Old models can't do this, but...

If you want to use progressive scan on games, you're supposed to hold triangle and x on startup. I'll be damned if I can find a game that supports it, though! ;)

socom and socom 2 support 540P, you just enable it in options and it will switch right away.

The newer systems support progressive scan DVD playback but I am not sure how to activate it as for games, only a few of the new games support it like Socom 2, ATV 2, or epsn basketball and you can just change the video options in the option menu.
