Need a complete Turbo Duo a-now-now

In dying need for a complete Turbo Duo system. A good price is from 100-170, but I can make arrangments for over 170 if I must.

I don't know how much longer I can live without one of these bad boys.

Dean is the Turbo Grafx guy on these boards and always has Duos to sell.

I PMed him a few days ago, but haven't got a response yet. I wasn't sure if he had any non-modded Duos laying around. If anyone else has a complete Duo for sale, please post or PM/IM me.

PM "David Koresh" man. He tried to sell me his Duo, but I just politely turned him down for another Duo seller in my backyard. That is, if you don't mind having a *Japanese* Turbo Duo.

I plan on buying a PC Engine Duo some other time, but not now. Thanks for telling me though. I am kind of thinking about buying a PC Engine Duo RX since it has a built-in arcade card. I'll be sure to PM him when I need PC Engine system.

Whoa, whoa, whoa there man.

First off, sorry about the delay in responding! That whole proto thing had me really busy lately.

Still have modded and unmodded Duo's laying around here. A VERY good price for a Duo is $170. You'll never find a functional Duo for $100.

The "whoa, whoa, whoa" was for the Duo RX having a built-in Arcade Card. Not true at all. In fact, the only difference between a Turbo Duo, PC Engine Duo, Duo-R, and Duo-RX is the Duo-R is missing the headphone jack and the Duo-RX shipped with a 6-button joystick. That and the covers are different. Internally the 4 systems are essentially identical.

The cheapest I have found a decent Duo is $170. I've come across others for less but these all have issues so I use them for parts.

Just to back D-Lite up here...there are NO systems with built in arcade cards. That's a myth, pure and simple. You want to play Arcade CDs, you HAVE to buy an Arcade Card....period. And yeah, for a complete Duo, $170 is a good price...they're not a cheap system...never have been. You won't get one for around $100...not complete.

Thanks for replying D-Lite! The Turbo List homepage use to sell Duos brand new for 140 a couple years ago, it's ashamed they don't now. Also there is this Retrogames site that is associated with TZD.com and they repair systems and sell Duos 145 used, but they didn't say a whole lot of what comes with it. I emailed asking what all comes with it, but they haven't got back to me.

Anyways, I am very interested in one of your unmodded Duos. I'll PM you right away with more details.

I didn't know PC-Engine Duo RX's didn't have a built-in arcade card. When I first knew about PCE Duo R's and RX's was that the only difference between them and a normal PCE Duo was design and headphone jack and that RX's came with PC-FX style controller. I heard from somone that Duo R's had a built-in arcade card, but I didn't believe that so I asked someone who owned one and they said no. Recently I was reading somewhere and it sounded true, that Duo RX's have a built-in arcade card. Thank you very much for informing me on this .

It appears I will not buy from D-Lite because I am looking for an unmodded Duo. Otherwise, I would have bought from him .
