I am trying to find something other than a JROK, it doesn't look like it offers a lot in the way of connections.

It was mentioned somewhere a
"Micomsoft XAV-2s" is supposed to be good.

Are there any others? If not where can a Non-japanese person buy one of these XAV-2s?

If anyone has one they are selling name a price and I'll see if I got the magic number.

It turns RGB to RCA and s-video...... and I have been told that the new version does RCA quite nicely.....

What exactly are you looking for? In terms of connections?

Well I'd Like RCA, S-Video, and MOnitor RGB if possible. I pretty much want to be able to hook it up to anything with a screen.

The JROK outputs S-Video and composite (RCA). If you want "monitor" RGB, you can get that from the carrier signal you put into the JROK. Just need the Sync signal which you can separate out from the composite sync signal with an LM1881 chip.

I was under the impression that the RGB signal coming of the board was at 15 Hz which was too low for a PC monitor to display...

I'm also unfortunately not made up of a lot of time, The wife is already not that happy with the amount of time I'm spending on this new toy. <:) Thats why I am trying to get an "All-in-One" Solution.

norton9478 ,because I'm an American and I have no clue what the hell a SCART socket is, and I'm pretty sure my TV doesn't have one. I've seen a dozen posts about it, but no one has a picture of wat the socket is (at least one that isn't thumbnail sized picture of the cable).

What will you be using the RGB converter on?

The JROK works perfect for MVS boards, if you are interested I happen to have a few extra JROK Converters Version 3.1 on hand.

I bought a few extras, so I could sell you one if you are interested.

Send me a PM if you are interested.;)

Is the field really so Barren that a JROK is the ONLY way?

What do people building superguns that use newer arcade boards do? IE if i want to build a board that has Medium or High resolution?

The makers of MAS Superguns sells their RGB to NTSC Encoders for $125.00.

I have never seen the video quality myself so I dont know how it compairs to the JROK.

From the looks of the Encoder in the picture, it looks like it is much larger than the JROK, and more expensive too.

Im guessing that is the RGB Encoder in the picture from the link?

I've seen another type of RGB to NTSC Encoder for sale on Ebay, from a seller in Singapore but again the thing looks bigger and more expensive.....plus keep in mind the distance and extra shipping price.

JROK is the best way to go I'd say, if you find another Encoder please post the link here.
