Works for me, I wanted to wait on building a new PC anyway. This will give me several more months to save up for a better hardware combo.

bha you don t need a too big one, the game is pretty smooth in fact (optimized). Even if the leaked version was lacking in term of lightening it was all smooth on my mid-range machine (2400+/Radeon 9800pro/2x512M dual bus DDR)

btw it turned out that the leak was the worse thing ever... and it was even not the fancy thing shown at E3 >.<

"Some ludicrous conspiracy theorists will likely begin regurgitating the ridiculous story that the source code leak was intentional, so Valve would have an 'excuse' to delay the game."

While I wouldn't call the source leak intentional, I do think it gave Valve a perfect excuse to delay the game longer and longer.

God, every company in connection with Sierra or Vivendi or whoever is publishing them at the moment seems to have some communication problems.

It would be nice to hear something about a release date rather than "When it's done"

Is Condition Zero ever going to ship?

That release date came and went without a peep from the publisher. Nice PR.

I don't even really care about the single player of HL2. I want my damned Team Fortress 2, I've been seeing the same screenshots for years.

Typical for Sierra...

I'm still waiting for the Mac version of Half Life 1...
Allegedly, it was nearly complete before Sierra canned it...
Doesn't matter much anymore really, the Mac still has the 3 Marathon games and Marathon 4 (aka Halo).

And don't get me started on the Dreamcast version of Half Life 1...

Maybe they should just stick to making more Earthsiege spin-offs...

:oh_no:

unfuckinbelievable.

Guess i'll have to get in the Doom 3 love before halflife 2 and CS Condition zero.

And a new PC... perhaps or some upgrading.

Quit complaining and start downloading. :D

The mod Firearms ended up having most of what TF2 promised.

Too bad everyone just plays CS instead of FA.

The worst part about the HL2 delay... Bushido mod gets delayed further :(

But really, what the hell does Valve do all day anyways? A dozen monkeys could make HL2 faster than them. What's been keeping the Half-Life afloat all these years? Third party mods (such as Counter-Strike)

With all the kids getting stabbed because of CS, the least they could do is tell us about these delays before the release date passes us by. :very_ang:

Valve does seem to be taking an eternity on Half Life 2. And I dont have/will not buy, a gaming quality PC for one game no matter how bad I want it. So tac an extra year onto the delay caused by these hackers for us console folk.

Testicular hanging is letting them off easy.

The Scene and amateur coders keep the Dreamcast alive! Half Life released among other downloads...Dust off your Dreamcast, the un-released Half-Life just got released! Several years ago the game was completed but due to reasons unknown, never made it out the gate. Now however someone has leaked the game onto the internet and as you can imagine, it's spreading faster than... well it's spreading fast. Searching through IRC and Newsgroups are the best bets if you're after a copy. Along with Half Life, the Dreamcast port includes the Blue Shift expansion pack. Apparently the frame rate can drop a bit at times, and loading is a little long, but overall it's great to see Half Life running on the old Dreamcast. It is supposed to be compatible with the Dream Connection 2in1 so, just go ahead and use your PC Mouse & Keyboard for perfect gameplay at cheap cost ;)
