Superbowl is the most watched show on earth from what I hear...

Altough I usually comlain about all the puritanism in this country (for gods sake ! I used to see breasts in commercial when I was 5 years old in good old Europe) I think that Janet/Justin's performance was just vulgar and unecessary.

What FCC no like the boobie?

Eh I really don't care I think since it was pretty much planned without their knowledge they have a right to complain. Had it been an accident, no.

I don't know what's worse... the fact that you just quoted an Eminem song or that I knew you were quoting an Eminem song.

Of course, the industry loves to do something to totally throw the blame somewhere else. A radio announcer, I heard today, brought up a very good point. He mentioned that, let's forget that one flash portion, but look at the whole act. That act was planned, totally OKed by all the network agencies involved, and basically had simulated sex girations on national TV during family hour. Totally planned, and totally rehearsed. He basically goes on saying that the Networks know they are in hot water and are just trying to look for any excuse they can to throw the heat off of them.

I don't have much of an opinion on the subject, but he made a real good point. It certainly looks like a bunch of people trying to toss responsibility and are looking to blame whatever they can on some other bloke just to save their guilty butts.

But my opinion on the show is, I'm at least glad Aerosmith went up there without becoming Aerosync, or Syncosmith. I really don't think N'sync should've been up there with those guys, in the first place.

Funny enough, everything about the Superbowl, this year, outside the game itself, was definitely a step back in quality from other Superbowls I've seen. Commercials, acts, etc. At least the game totally rocked, even without having my home team there. Very close, down to the end. A real fight for the win with two very balanced teams, and quarterbacks with similar performance that night. Real edge of your seat stuff. Heck, if the news didn't blow the story up, I would've probably forgotten all about the halftime show because the Game took all my attention.

while I strongly believe that our view of sex and anything sexually related in this country is completely fucked, I also feel that the FCC has every right to COMPLETELY rape all those involved in this. if there is one thing that I hate more than a uber corp lining thier pockets at the expense of desensitising this countries youth just a little bit more (and this is coming from a very liberal guy) its a deserate attention whore/liar like Janet Jackson.
There is a chance that it could have been an accident, but I strongly believe that it was a stunt.

MTV is a cable station, whereas the superbowl was on network television.

well i guess they found it okay to use a song that has "ima get you nekkid by the end of this song" as being pleasant enough for family hour.

They have every right to be outraged. Surely MTV could have used a younger breast.

It'd a little different I think when it's broadcast TV.

And considering she had on a pasty, them saying it wasn't planned is total bullshit. I hope MTV gets fined out the ass.

Hell yes they are right to complain. If there are going to be bare breasts on network television, they should at least be attractive. :oh_no:

the FCC can french kiss my ass for all i care.

on a side note, i'm also pro 'eye for an eye'.

if you kill someone then you should be executed also.
screw this throwing em in jail for years bit & waste the tax payers money.

hell.. have live executions on Pay-Per-View and even make it interactive PPV where you can choose how the criminal will be executed.

i tell ya they start doing that and it'll fix this country's debt problems in no time.

The FCC has a right to pursue action against CBS and MTV

but their president's explaination of the situation made them look like a group of butt fingering fags.

The bottom line here is that MTV was performing a service for the network hosting the Super Bowl. That'll teach 'em to trust those wacko fucks.

I'm all for titties - but this attention whoring bs is just infantile. Where's that chick on the beach doing the handstand in her thong - "Look at me, I'm an attention whore!"

Accident my ass.

Now I'm starting to like that pic...

...Anyway, yes, the FCC has a right to complain. Simply for the fact that on MTV, you're actually paying extra to see some bump and grind (albeit in a completey soft core all-clothes-on fashion a la Undressed).

Besides, who cares? It was the boob of someone who looks like a darker, manlier, Michael.

Janet: National TV, CBS, Superbowl and she showed nip even though the camera was quite far away.

Lil Kim: Cable, MTV, and no nip

The national tv and the nip is what drives it over board. And to say that wasn't planned is bs.

Ironically it costs a substantial amount more (in the end) to put a person to death than it does to imprisson them for life. go figure.
