OH MY GAWD -- look at the bid history! The sniper won it with ZERO seconds to go!

That is freaking solid. My best was 3 seconds...

It's obvious there's a demand for the game. I wish Capcom and other companies with high demand older games would get off their asses and re-release them, either on the original format or ported to newer consoles.

If Sega ported Panzer Dragoon Saga to PSOne, or someone picked up the rights to release Radiant Silvergun from Treasure on PS2, would they still go for over $100 on ebay?

Yeah, I've noticed the price surge for 3S myself while on a mission to expand my tiny DC collection. I dunno when it started, but the game seems to be in much higher demand all of a sudden. Is it simply highly sought after or was there a low print run?

Treasure tried to port Radiant Silvergun to the PS1 and they couldn't since RS had been made with the Saturn's crazy processors in mind. They also said it would be too much trouble to try and port Ikaruga to the PS2, so a RS port would be even more unlikely. :D

But to answer your question, they would probably stay around those prices, although they MIGHT see a slight dip. I mean honestly, I don't see any of the Metal Slug ports even putting a dent in the AES prices. ;)

Double Impact doesn't go for that much. I think I saw a sealed copy not too long ago for $20.

What is sad about these third strike auctions is the fact that these copies will probably just sit on collectors shelves. I bought my copy the day it came out. Play it to death, lots of scratches. Bought a japanese copy for the better artwork (color manual,Etc.).
This game is too good for words.

I bought mine in a BIN for 39.99 on ebay after being sniped a few times in the mid 30 range back in the summer.

I also got sniped on a new copy totaling 35 dollars.

so yes, the game seems to have sky-rocketed until Capcom does a re-release.

Heh, I got my copy used outta EB for $7. It had no case or manual, but the disc is in perfect condition. :D

It's probably so high now on eBay because half the SF community just woke up recently and realized it's probably the best 2D fighter ever made. And it's the one that they never picked it up when they had the chance...

I needed the Japanese copy because I don't like using the utopia disk to load US games.

But US DC games you can still find hidden in the stacks at EB/Gamestop/Circuit city...

I got my copy for about $30 new. Cracked it ... now I have to use a back up... it is currently the only back up I own, I had to learn a bunch of weird stuff to figure out how to make a DC backup.

Well, i've got two copies of the import version just in case. Although I'd really like to know why the domestic release is so popular? I've played both and there are some changes..but mostly the US version had a bunch of cuts and such....

So, besides the language barrier, you'd say that the Japanese version is the way to go?
