Heck, I hear war stories from people who went to Japan and had Pizza. Particularly in Tokyo. I guess it's a warning of what I should not order when going to Japan. Or maybe I can eat one so I can proudly wear a tee-shirt that says, "I ate the Tokyo Pizza and survived." It might not be all that bad, but the teeshirt would look cool.
What's funny is, I see these gimmicks all the time. Just searching through the net, or being on Japanese forums, you get to see almost everything on everything else. Designer this, designer that. Want some product packed in a box that looks like your favorite Gundam model, or has the face of some idol singer on it? Go ahead. Though I have to admit. If they had a pizza box they sold in limited quantities with Segata Sanshiro's picture on it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Probably frame the sucker, too.
