Congratulations. Great game. Great finish, very close. Really had me at the edge of my seat.

I don't like either team but it was a great finish to the game. Congrats to all the Patriots fans...now run out all over Boston and cause some well-deserved havoc :D

No Packers, Texans or Cowboys = Adam not interested.

Well that's exaggerating, really. But it's weird to watch a game where I don't care who wins.

Good game though.

Texans are a good team, they gave a lot of teams a run for their money and I only see them getting much better in the future. :)

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN FEB 01, 2004 21:27:35 ET XXXXX

OUTRAGE AT CBS AFTER JANET BARES BREAST DURING DINNER HOUR; SUPER BOWL SHOW PUSHES LIMITS

**Exclusive**

Top CBS executives approved a musical skit where Janet Jackson would expose her breast during the MTV-produced Super Bowl half-time concert, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

"The decision to go forward went to the very top of the network," a well-placed source explained from New York.

The groundbreaking scene came during the most-watched television broadcast of the year -- and during the dinner hour for the nation's west coast viewers.

Officially, CBS drew distance from the show: "CBS deeply regrets the incident that occurred during the Super Bowl halftime show," the network said in a release. "We attended all rehearsals throughout the week and there was no indication that any such thing would happen. The moment did not conform to CBS broadcast standards and we would like to apologize to anyone who was offended."

In a press release before Sunday's game, CBS's sister outlet [VIACOM's] MTV promised "Janet's Shocking Moments."

"I'll get you naked by the end of this song," sang performer Justin Timberlake, moments before he ripped off Jackson's top, exposing a bare breast -- the nipple covered by a tassel.

CBS's main New York switchboard was immediately bombarded with complaints about the stunt, network sources said late Sunday.

The NFL claimed outrage over the stunt:

Statement by NFL Executive Vice President Joe Browne regarding the Super Bowl halftime show: "We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced Halftime show. They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the show. It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."

Developing...

Wow, what a game. Panthers put up quite a fight, they kept coming back and coming back, and even tho I think Delhomme is the most immature QB in the league (I saw his lips saying something like "...in your face" after he threw that longest TD in Superbowl history), I still tip my hat to him b/c he tore NE's secondary apart (esp that last TD).

But what a finish, you know Vinatieri would come thru! Congrats to us Boston fans would get shafted year after year by the redsox.... hehe, the Patriots is where it is at!

i predicted the pats would win a week ago, but by the end of the game i wanted to see the panthers win it, they played great, and had more exciting TD's. fieldgoals are a bitch...

damn i wanted the panthers to win, i hate the patriots with a passion. thank god rodney harrison got injured. since his departure, the chargers became crap. oh well, next year raider nation, the blackhole will be return with a vengence.

i caught the halftime performance with janet jackson, and i t it was some metal thingy covering her nipple. WTF was that all about? that was not needed since the superbowl is a family event and there were kids in the stands. justin and janet are going to receive some major heat for that.

Aye, it was a great 2nd half.

(1st was Snoozeville...)

My hats off to both teams.

The Pats, obviously for winning.

And the Panthers for having a great season as well; they've come a long way and they deserve credit for that, but... seeing as I'm from New England, I couldn't be happier with the final outcome.

Congrats Pats... again. :)

Well I went to high school with Shawn Mayer of the Patriots and he was on the same track team as I was. He was one of the best all around athletes I ever met. I bet he still has school records. He did a 400m in 49 seconds and jumped like 23 feet!

The funny thing is that he made a tackle on another guy from my high school, Ricky Proehl, who I have also met. It's pretty cool to watch the Super Bowl and know two guys. I didn't care who won because of that, but it's cool that Shawn has a ring now too....

Best part of Super Bowl: Janet Jackson's boobie.

Thanks for the congrats.
We Pats fans have endured many losing seasons. It's nice to be able to rejoice every now and then.

I don't like the Pats since they beat my beloved Rams two years back and I hate the Panthers for eliminating them this year but I know where you're coming from. The Rams were the worst team in the whole 90's decade, then had the biggest turnaround by any team in NFL history and won it all in 1999.

Congrats to the Patriots but watch out for the next season!!! :very_ang:

So I'm guessing you just don't like football?

Because that was a hell of a football game.

The game was great, but the wrong team won. And by "Wrong", I mean the team I didn't want to win.
