I'm sure you realize it, but that's a boot. It's been out awhile.

EvilMike has it and we watched it the last time he had a small gathering. It wasn't bad, but of course some of the subs are a little weird.

If you know the SamSho 64 storyline, then this is a good inbetween Tamashii and Asura Zanmaden. If not, then it's just a bunch of Samurai Shodown people in a show. :D

Oh yeah i know its a boot, most of my DVD's are :)

I've actually had it a while on Fan subbed Vid. We were talking about it in the Hyper forum a while back and it was'nt to be found on DVD then, i was actually a little surprised to see it on ebay now.

Ah well i picked it up anyway and at least it gives people the chance to see it now :)

this is actually a new release of it. the "old" HK dvd of it, was mastered from the LD's and it only had chinese subs hardcoded.

i just ordered, since it's never coming here. :tickled:

Sorry to hear that, but since it's the same thing as teh ROMz, I won't try to stop you.

Oh well, when it's something that'll never be released in the US, I don't have as big a problem with bootlegging.

Enjoy.

i also always buy the legit US releases. the only times i get the HK ones, is if i know it has no chance to come here, or the US release is fucked up in some way (initial d).

Glad to hear it, though many don't share your opinion of things. "The Cheaper The Better" is the motto of many on the boards... odd considering what site we're all on and how much homecarts cost...

If it's not released in the US and you can get the HK boots with subs, I'm not a fan of it myself, but go for it. Beats spending the large amounts of cash required to purchase the R2 release and not know what's going on if you don't know Japanese...

I honestly believe a lot of people would pay the R2 prices for things over bootlegs if they had English subs on them (look at the R2 Ghibli films for an example of what I'm talking about. English subs and not that expensive as well!). Hopefully Japanese companies will learn and run with Buena Vista Japan's lead...

i am a collector, so i know the HK dvds i own aren't really dvds in my collection, i see them as mp3's.

if i knew perfect japanese or the R2 releases had english subs, i would buy the ones i knew would never come here. but i see it as a waste, i'm not gonna pay 70 bucks for a raw dvd with 4 eps on it.

the HK guys sub them, it isn't the greatest, but if it's the only way i'll get to see the show for a long time, i don't mind. i would also re-buy any official release of a HK i own, to get perfect subs.

the majority of japanese studios have shown they have little regard for anime fans outside of japan, if it's studios giving the companies here crappy masters of a show, because it hasn't had a R2 release yet, or unwilling to give the japanese track (original gundam on dvd here comes to mind), I honestly don't give a damn if they are losing money from me, when i don't even live in their country.

The problem with Gundam was that there was no Japanese release as of the time when Bandai was planning on releasing it and it would be cheaper, of course, for a Japanese fan to import from the US than it would have to buy it with the way the Japanese companies release their Anime, so no Japanese track. And we'll never see the subbed Gundam because it didn't really sell that well to begin with (imagine a 1979 show airing on Cartoon Network when "Gundam Fans" of today were used to Gundam Wing animation...). *sigh* I'm glad they made the movies subbed at least.
