I want to thank you guys who voted and commented on your favorite brands of notebook PC's. Apples blew the competition for best notebook PC while Dell, Toshiba, and Sony racked up many points for favorite brands on the PC side. A couple people pointed out how rugged IBMs were as well.

On the down side, I learned from you guys that Dells while may have alot of value, they may cut corners here and there, cut CPU speed in half when they aren't plugged in, and may not be all that reliable (I know there are a couple of you who had great times with dells however).

This is really good stuff for myself, and anyone else here who may be looking to buy a Notebook PC right now.

Just I thought of another poll to do, if you have something to say, please vote!

The big question-
What brands do you suppose are the most reliable and durable?

Thanks!

LOL

I voted for IBM. I've seen them get beaten to shit and survive. IBM spells durable (somewhere in the universe maybe).

Thank you for your votes but respectfully, I'm looking for reliable data for everyone to read.

every notebook will have issues....
the compact design is just not meant of realiability...

even the apples have issues here and there...

If ruggedization/durability is your primary concern, Panasonic's "Toughbook" line is certainly worth a look.

Yea I just read about that model:eek:

Naa DL... I just want a notebook PC that plays games well (for LAN party use), doesn't weigh a ton, and most importantly, can withstand my otherwise clumsy tendencies.

This is the reason for my poll.
