Third Strike is a must-have. Worth owning a DC just for this game.

1. An absolute must own. A definitive chapter in a classic series.

2. If you like the Fire Pro style of wrestling game, it is awesome. Tons of characters to choose from, and various match types to pick from. Lots of menus though, takes alot of time to learn them.

3. Do you like SSF2X? Then you will like it. No more Matching Service though :(

4. Freaking awesome. Great combonation of the Darkstalkers games!

I would say that Fire Pro D is the best of the series, so it's a definite. I prefer the Saturn versions of all the Vampire games over Vampire Chronicle, but that's just me.

Street Fighter 3 Third Strike all the way!!! Awesome game that seems very unappreciated. I don't have Vampire Chronicle, but I heard that it's missing frames of animation. I always wanted to get it, but never have.

1, 2 and 3 are all good games, worth getting.

4.... I don't know, the Saturn version seems to be alot smoother, graphics much nicer to my untrained eyes. I can't stand the DC rev.

I agree that the Saturn versions of the Vampire games are better, but Chronicle isn't by any means bad. The worst part for me is the stage where you fight on the side of the buildings. Man, that particular BG looks putrid :mad_2:

i haven't played 2, 3 & 4.. but as for 1, it's a really cool game except for the god aweful hip hop music in the character select screen and those lame brotha man voices when you select characters/progress through the game.

1) DEFINITE MUST OWN GAME! worth every penny (lucked up and got a used one for $16 a couple of years ago--still haven't stopped playing it).

2) from what i've read and seen, it's cool--but i can't really say since i've never played it.

3) another GREAT fighter to own--sure it's Street Fighter II X--the graphics are dated, but it looks SWEET on Dreamcast (much better than the PSX versions).

4) Vampire Chronicle is another DEFINITE MUST OWN GAME! not only does this shit kick ass, but there aren't a shitload of copies around either (it was "one of the last" games to come out for the DC--about a year before it's "death"--which i find laughable to this day, since Psyvariar 2 and Shikigami no Shiro II are on the way in the next couple of months).

1.Street Fighter 3 3rd strike - Probably the best Street Fighter on the DC.

2. Fire Pro d - Probably the best wrestling game on the DC.

3.Super Street Fighter II X for Matching Service - Eh, no more impressive than the Street Fighter Collection on the Saturn. Although if you're in Japan and can play it online then I'd imagine that would kick ass. I'd really say only get this if you don't already have SFCollection or if you're just a collector yourself.

4.Vampire Chronicles - Excellent game and arcade perfect. Get it.

if it's arcade perfect how come other's agree that the Saturn version is better?
just like Street Fighter Alpha 3 on Sat vs DC.. everyone who's played both agrees the Saturn version is better.

because sheep tend to follow their own.

play them for yourself and decide. i've played them all and i still, in my opinion, think the Dreamcast ones are better all around. (and there wasn't a Vampire Chronicle game on Saturn--Vampire Chronicle has all versions of the series in one game, you just configure it to what you'd prefer to play).

now if someone said that jumping off a 20-story building was "better" than taking the elevator, would you jump?

Well, to me Street Fighter Zero 3 on Saturn IS better than the DC counter-part, but mostly due to the infinitely superior controller. Although it does still look a bit better.

Vampire Chronicles on the DC is a collection of all the games/characters and sports some beautiful 2D power. On the Saturn there were only two Vampire games released (Darkstalkers(aka Vampire Hunter) and Vampire Savior) and I believe only Vampire Savior supported the 4MB Cart (since I only have the US Darkstalkers, so I don't know if Vampire Hunter supports the Meg cart or not).

The Dreamcast Vampire Chronicles contains stuff from all 3 (or is it 4?) of the Vampire games (Hunter, Savior, Savior 2) and still shows off some excellent graphics that can compete with the Saturn.

No, the Saturn ports are better because they support RGB.

Oh, well I don't have an RGB connection so I wouldn't know about that. :mr_t:

Vampire Chronicle while an excellent game, doesn't really hold up to Vampire Savior on the Saturn in my opinion. Also Vampire Chronicle is not arcade perfect, some of the backgrounds look noticably worse and there are no character specific endings, only two generic endings, based upon what character you are using. Although it is pretty cool to see how some of the newer characters(Bulleta, Lilith, etc) play using the different game engines and also to match up different versions of characters against each other. Both games are different enough to warrant owning both of them. Just realize that Vampire Savior is an arcade port and Vampire Chronicle is like a remix designed for online play and as such doesn't offer what the original arcade games does.
