Is it possible for somebody to design a NICE looking interface for these modded Xboxes?
Seriously, where are all the graphic designers on these projects? I could make a kick-ass interface. Not PHOTOCHOP + BOOBS VERSION 7.

That fucking settles it, I'm going to buy an Xbox tomorrow. Mod chip and bigger hard drive in a couple weeks probably.

a super modded xbox from modchipman.com is 385, 120gb, new dvd drive, xecuter pro, external dip switches, just compare it to a supergun + cps2 and mvs board, or even a super neo. it's a steal (literally)

I got mine a little while ago and am loving it. Are there any links that have quick faqs for stuff like configing controls, video options, etc? I just mash all the buttons when I need to reset it or whatever. I need to know what does what.

I use Unleash X because it had a built in File Explorer, background music to you can choose or it can be random, a very fast FTP transfer, and preview video support with image preview picture at the same time.

But can i ask u guys a serious question about neo geo roms on the x box.
The few i ve played, especially the fighters, just dont seem as good as the origionals. I have kawa x to run em, but from what ive seen, al the fighters seem to lack animation and a select few run too fast.
Is this just me being picky?? I mean how does it work with roms, are they supposed to be the exact same game in terms of graphics etc, or is animation sometimes cut down by the people dumping em.

What game specificly? I have never noticed anything while using the Advanced Mame filter. Maybe you have the super 2x filter on. You can use the Advanced Mame filter or no fileter for best results. It is running at full speed at full framerate under those two options.

Im too stupid to know how to do ANYTHING with an xbox, and im not strong enough to carry it from the store to the car. I guess that means im screwed.

shuttle pc + geforce 4MX=the best (4MX is a crappy card but the tv out is so great on svideo compared to my radeon 9800pro on my "fix" system)
the shuttle pc is even more light than the box, the only problem is to setup your system so that it boots right into an emuloader which can be controled with your arcade controler, but i guess it s not a problem.

but honestly besides panzer ortha and hotd3 i don t want any xbox game that doesn t exist on PC.
and btw, i don t think an xbox can run Killer Instinct or esp ra de at full framerate, does it ?

Xbox emulation runs Killer Instinct 1 at full frame rate, I don't know about ESP Rade. The thing you have to remember is that a large number of people are working on Xbox emulation. The scene is quite large, so advances will come very quickly.
