I installed the debug chip in my AES this morning. I had to go to work so I really didn't get to thoroughly test it out. I popped in KOF '02 and everything seemed to work fine. Anyway, I got home from work and tried out Sengoku 3 and Matrimelee. The 1st time I put in Sengoku 3 the main boot up screen was all pixalated. The second time, it booted to this weird blue screen with all this text. The 3rd time it finally booted up normally. Same thing with Matrimelee and KOF '02. Sometimes it would boot up normally, boot up normally with no sound, or boot up to that blue screen. Also, on Sengoku 3 it went to a screen that said MVS test slot or something like that. Is this normal? Is my system in danger? As always, any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I was worried. All 3 of my games I own are new (just got my AES last week) and I remembered that new games need to be inserted and taken out a few times because of the protective layer. Now my only problem is that when I boot up in MVS mode there is no sound during the intro. However, there is sound during gameplay. Any suggestions?

same tip

clean a little more ....i use RADIO SHACK VIDEO/TAPE HEAD cleaner fluid...there arre many alternatives available at an electronics parts store...i even saw a product designed as a contact cleaner!!!...IMO..i stay away from using isopropoyl achohol...just a preference as many use it with satisfactory results...also see if you can get the foam tipped swabs to use instead of a q-tip (no residue or lint left behind)

I have a feeling the DIP settings have to do with not getting any sound in the MVS intro. Like I said, I'm getting sound during the gameplay. If I can figure out how to turn on the attract mode sound it should take care of the problem.

No sound during MVS attract mode on AES hardware with the debug BIOS is normal. There is nothing you can do about this. It is because the AES has no backup RAM.
