Low-res output from the svideo on a gf4 ti4200 in xp?

im trying to get advance mame (or hell any mame..or any thing) to output a low res signal through the svideo out on my gf4 ti4200.

it seems that no matter what res im in, it outputs to 640x480, so i was trying to get the various tv modes from various mames to work, and it doesnt.

all i want is a nice 320x240 signal

For MAME just let it select a resolution automatically, enable Direct3D and set any filters to none. This will provide a very nice output that is scaled to fir your screen.

If you are really wanting to use a low resolution, just get an ArcadeVGA card from Ultimarc. It outputs 15KHz RGB designed so that you can use a PC on a real arcade monitor. It has pre-programmed timings for almost every video mode every game in MAME supports.
