Can anyone suggest a quality Xbox dance pad?

Mad Catz makes one, but their products have never been synonymous with the word quality.

I was thinking about buying this dance pad, but I can't find any reviews for it.

Unless you're looking at hard mats, just go with an ebay PS2 foam-insert mat with a converter.

I've considered that. But can you point out a PS2/Xbox converter that dosen't have lag?

Just buy the official Konami X-box pad, it's great.

The Naki one just sucks, that even the madkatz one is better.

Do you have a link? Or does every retailer carry the official pad? I don't think they sell it seperately since I can't seem to find it online anywhere.

Soft pads are horrible, hard pads should be your only choice... unless you are still learning...

Hehe, I thought those pads had a weight limit of 250 pounds? I'm sure that I'd probably break those kind of pads on my first move:tickled: :D

I mean professional pads, built like the arcade ones, not pads... but platforms, in which you can really "freestyle".

I'm not looking for the "uber" DDR experience here. I'm just looking for the best performing, most affordablely priced setup to make the DDR experience a little better.

I'm not looking to spend more than $100 total on a couple pads (and converters if necessary).

The problem is that soft pads tend to brake/malfunction quickly... get one and try it, maybe then you will understand.

Are you suggesting something like this Mushiki?

If I remember correctly that one used to cost quite a bit more.

I bought a ps cyphergames pad and it's alright, though I had to mod the arrows. One of the contacts broke but not by itself, my friend broke it... so I don't know how well it'll work with the PS to X-box and GC converter. :blow_top: I was all ready to play Ultramix too. And I'm too busy to try to fix it.

But yeah if you're serious, metal pads are the way to go, either to get those cobalt fluxes or whatever, or a cheap one that you can mod yourself.

If you are just a casual player though and want one that's decent, try to track down an official konami one. They were released a couple weeks after the bundle was, but before the game on it's own was. I don't have a link, but I've seen them at both Gamestop and EB, so call and ask for the official ones.

The first platforms were really expensive, very low demand for them, I recall BeatGear platforms to be 360 USD each.

Haha, as expensive as a ROM cart.
