Hi, I'm refering to this thread:
http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=67062

I have some questions about it;
- Is the quality of the picture better after doing this mod on a high serial system with regular RGB lead (does it remove the striping)?
- Is the quality of the picture better than a low serial system with regular RGB lead?
- what cable does it use after doing this mod?

thanks alot

I can answer two of the questions.

I honestly don't know what you mean with the striping.

It should look better than a low serial system with regular RGB lead.

The cable you use is a SCART cable :P (that is, if you want to use it on your PAL tv)

I've been looking for someone to do this mod for me as well. Apparently Neogeousa doesn't do mods anymore, except for new systems they sell. Also it would be nice if there is someone in Europe who can do this.

So is there someone (preferably nearby) who can mod mine?

Thanks Toddy,
Raven games (www.ravengames.co.uk) can do that mod, they ask £74.99 for it. Wich is $135 + shipping both ways! Too expensive if you ask me... Or do you really think it's worth it?

Thanks for the info.

Well, it's quite a bit of money. But I've been looking into this before I even bought my Neo. Seeing there might be no one else who will do this, this might be our only option.

Also they will do a stereo mod on the AV port and give you a new SCART lead which supports this.

Maybe we could do something together so the shipping won't be that much. Either way, I'll keep this in mind.

That really is a total ripoff, because the mod is extremely simple and possibly the easiest thing you can do to your Neo.

I can do the mod if anyone needs it, but you'd be better off finding someone in Europe, as postage to the US would cost too much.

The picture you get after the mod looks very good - identical to what you get from an MVS board. It does fix the "stripe" problem, but this isn't an issue on all consoles. If you think your Neo's RGB output looks fine, there's no need to mess with it.

Yeah, that price is outrageous...I would charge you way way less than that and I'm in Europe. PM me in case...
